Daniel Craig's Benoit Blanc is back for some fun in the sun as seen in Netflix's new trailer for the highly anticipated Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, with more of the movie’s setup now out in the wild.

This time around, Blanc takes his world-renowned detective skills to the Mediterranean, with the new preview showcasing more of the Knives Out sequel’s Greek island scenery and a star-studded cast that promises a bigger adventure in almost every possible way. Unlike the first movie, A Knives Out Mystery sees Blanc's murder puzzle unfold right before his own eyes, with tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) bringing him over to solve a crime that is yet to happen.

The Knives Out 2 trailer released by Netflix also reveals where the movie takes its title from, as the massive glass onion that adorns the island is impossible to miss. However, who exactly is the homicide victim is definitely up for debate. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery will feature an uncommon release model, as the movie will screen for a single week, running from November 23 to 29, in selected AMC, Regal, and Cinemark theaters before taking a one-month break until it drops on Netflix, starting December 23, 2023.

Besides the gorgeous sights, A Knives Out Mystery also teases bits from the conflicting personalities of its entire cast. The ensemble includes Janelle Monae, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista, as well as the aforementioned Norton and, of course, Craig. Blanc is clearly acting his usual self, though fans may be surprised to know the detective hates playing Clue, contrary to what most might assume.

Naturally, those who love the first film know that there’s a lot more to A Knives Out Mystery than meets the eye, so there are indeed plenty of surprises coming fans’ way that will make the sequel a perfect watch for these Holidays for anyone who skips the theatrical release. Director Rian Johnson recently clarified for fans that Benoit Blanc is indeed gay, and while some hints to this are believed to be included in A Knives Out Mystery, it looks like he’ll have too much on his plate for his romantic preferences to surface too prominently.

The first Knives Out movie focused on the Trombey family, a divided but interesting rich family also made up of incredible actors, but it looks like this time around the chemistry and animosity between the Glass Onion house guests will come from somewhere else and it is up to Blanc to figure it all out.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is scheduled to release in theaters for one week on November 23, 2022, before debuting on Netflix on December 23.
