Australia always seems to get the short end of the stick when it comes to games and release dates. While North America and the Land of the Rising Sun (Japan) have been enjoying Kirby's Epic Yarn for about a week now, gamers in Australia and Europe wont get to join in on the fun until next year.

Nintendo Australia has recently announced that Kirby's Epic Yarn will not see the light of day until 2011 in the two PAL regions.

Online European retail site Play has the title scheduled for March 25 of next year. Sorry Australian and European gamers, maybe you guys can re-watch the trailer and read our hands-on play through to help tide you over until Spring rolls around.

Personally, I think this is a big flop on Nintendo's part. Epic Yarn would have been a key title for Wii owners in the two regions - just in time for the Christmas season.

That said, it's not entirely surprising because Australia and Europe always tend to receive later release dates - though, lately the gaming environment has been improving. First Europe recieves a price cut for the DSi at the beginning of the year and then the man responsible for Australia's ridiculously tight game rating system, politician Michael Atkinson resigns.

I guess the winning streak could only last for so long. I'm sure seriously dedicated gamers of the two regions will still be eager for Epic Yarn when it arrives this spring.

So how do you guys feel about the game delays in Europe and Australian? Would you still be excited for Kirby's Epic Yarn next spring?
