While Kirby and the Forgotten Land isn't exactly as much of an open-world as fans were hoping for, the game still stands out in many ways against Kirby's previous adventures. While it tries to do new things in light of the franchise's 30th anniversary, the game still offers much of the same experience fans are used to. That includes challenging fans with collectibles that they can easily blink and miss, and the game packs plenty of hidden secrets in every corner. This guide shows how to find the Hidden Waddle Dees and complete missions in Fast-Flowing Waterworks.

Hidden Waddle Dee #1

As fans follow the water rapids into this Kirby and the Forgotten Land level, they'll see two sets of metal rings as they swim through it. The second set is made up of three rings, with a Hidden Waddle Dee inside. Players need to grab it quickly before they miss their chance, but Kirby's float ability may allow them to try again if used quickly enough.

Fish Tin #1

Fans will eventually reach a 3-star door heading into the next area, but fans should instead pay attention to the rusted containers over to the right. There will be a sparkling spot off in the corner, and once gathered, the first Fish Tin will appear on the other side to the left.

Chain Bomb Blueprint

In the next area, at the top of the ladder will be a metal grate walkway above some water. Once players get close enough, they'll need to beat their way through a gauntlet of enemies, with the Chain Bomb Blueprint being the reward for beating them all.

However, players should aim to come prepared with Copy Abilities that encourage dealing damage at a distance, like the Chakram Cutter or the Ice Copy Ability. This is due to how there's a mission players need to complete requiring players to beat the battle without falling into the water.

Hidden Waddle Dee #2

After defeating the enemies, players should stick to the right as a bomb block can be found hidden away in a corner. Fans should attack it to reveal a secret passageway in a corner to the left.

Inside is a secret room with a timed challenge featuring Ring Mouth Kirby. For those aiming to get the Hidden Waddle Dee inside without any stress, all players need to go to the right, then left, and then blast through the middle.

Toy Capsule #1

Before players leave the current area outside the challenge room, they should look to the left for a broken control panel with something shiny behind it. Fans can jump behind it to claim the first Toy Capsule.

Toy Capsule #2

After fans leave the area, the next Toy Capsule can be found at the start of the next room. Players may see a red switch and some stairs to swallow upon entering the room. Fans should use Kirby's Stair Mouth ability to place the stairs on the red switch to unlock the room with the Toy Capsule in it.

Golden Fish Location

At the next set of stairs that Kirby can swallow, players should look towards the body of water found on the left side of the screen. The Golden Fish will be waiting there to be collected, and all players need to do is touch it.

Fish Tin #2

Going forward, players should note that this next collectible requires the Ice Copy Ability to collect. After hitting the switch found in the middle of a small lake, fans should swallow the steps and leave them in that same little slot as the switch. Once there, they can reach and put out the burning logs to find the Fish Tin behind them.

Hidden Waddle Dee #3 & #4

On the other side of the metal walkway players discovered using the switch, they can find Hidden Waddle Dee #3 and #4 locked behind bars activated by red switches. Fans should take the stairs used for the Fish Tin above to the first red switch, but the other two red switches require the Ice Copy Ability.

Fortunately, for those who didn't already have the Copy Ability, there's a Chilly nearby they can inhale to get it. Using the Ice ability to get rid of the burning logs, fans will find a second set of stairs to place on the other two red switches to free the Waddle Dees easily.

Fish Tin #3

Near the end of the level, fans will encounter gigantic whirlpools. The first one is where the last Fish Tin of the Waterworks can be found, circling around it. Fans should use Kirby's hover ability to grab it without falling in and losing health.

Hidden Waddle Dee #5

After the first whirlpool, fans will quickly encounter the second as the last challenge of the stage. While fans need to hit the switch found on the right to leave, another switch can be found on the right just out of the camera's view. Fans can hit it to have a path appear that leads players to the last Hidden Waddle Dee.
