The recent delay of King's Bounty 2 may have poured ice on the building anticipation for the strategy RPG, but 1C Entertainment and Deep Silver are still working to maintain momentum. A new trailer for King's Bounty 2 was shared recently revealing more extensive information about the sequel's epic fantasy story. Titled "Unite Them or Fall," the trailer delves into the various dangers that threaten the world of Nostria and the kingdom at its heart.

King's Bounty 2's new trailer covers a lot of ground in a very short time. At the heart of the story that the trailer reveals, however, is King Claudius and his son, Prince Adrian. Claudius has been poisoned and Prince Adrian is now dealing with a kingdom being torn apart, from within and without. There's also a hint of Prince Adrian not trusting the player, with his narrative referencing a "false prophet" and a hope that "does not exist." It's possible that King's Bounty 2 could set the player in opposition to the newly crowned king himself.

The full King's Bounty 2 trailer teases a diverse range of content beyond just the game's main story, of course. Mysterious sorceries, masked cultists, lycanthropes, living skeletons, and other monstrous beings are shown. There's even a dragon revealed toward the end of the trailer. Suffice to say, King's Bounty 2 is properly epic in scale and true to its fantasy genre and all its trappings.

One thing those interested in King's Bounty 2's strategy RPG action will be disappointed to find is a lack of gameplay shown in the trailer. There are hints at some gameplay toward the end of the trailer, or at least some basic animations and some isometric camera angles, but nothing in-depth. Fans will just have to wait a while yet for more King's Bounty 2 information.

King's Bounty 2 releases August 24 on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
