KingdomsOfAmalurLifedrinker

Many of the Greatswords found throughout Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning are powerful, using thick metal blades to cleave through enemies. But there are some unique Greatswords that stand out among the pack thanks to their impressive stats and effects.

Lifedrinker is one prime example, a Greatsword that rewards its user with a health-siphoning effect and some solid base stats. Those that manage to get their hands on this creepy eye-laden artifact (similar in appearance to Nightmare's weapon from Soul Calibur) will have a massive sword infused with 103 physical damage, 24 piercing damage, and 24 bleeding damage (over 5 seconds). The real star of the show is the 10 percent chance to steal 25 health per hit.

Lifedrinker can be found randomly in chests or as loot.

13 The Lion's Claws (Faeblades)

Not a lot of RPG titles offer Chakrams as weapons, but they're some of the most reliable a player can wield in Kingdoms of Amalur. Those who want the best Chakrams the game can offer should turn to Baronett's Blades.

This unique chakram deals 41 physical damage, 41 fire damage, and 84 burning damage over 3 seconds. It also increases critical hit damage and damage against heavily wounded targets by 15%. It can be looted off a corpse of a baronnet during the "An Offering" quest.

11 Helius' Aim (Longbow)

It is highly possible and sensible that the Helius' Aim longbow is named after Helios, the Greek god of the sun. This is by far the most powerful longbow in the game, making it the most reliable tool the player can use in dealing with enemies from afar.

The Helius' Aim deals 80 physical damage and 36 piercing damage. It also inflicts 30 fire damage and 17 burning damage over 5 seconds. If the player is fighting during the daytime, the weapon's damage will increase by 15%.

The hammers found throughout Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning are truly a spectacle. The Greatswords often steal the show for the enigmatic look and powerful stats but there is something supremely satisfying about the hammer-based combat in this title.

The Ward of the North isn't just a "looker" either, it's got plenty of heft and is capable of squashing even the strongest enemies with ease. With 209 physical damage, 25 ice damage, and 15 freezing damage over 5 seconds, the War of the North is an incredibly powerful weapon. To make things even better, players are rewarded with an additional 80 Mana when equipping this weapon, meaning they can sling spells with ease while dominating the battlefield.

Like many promising unique weapons, the Ward of the North is found randomly in chests or as loot.

9 Lightning Rod (Stave)

KingdomsOfAmalurGentlemansFavor

A lot of Kingdom of Amalur: Re-Reckoning's weapons are simply found by chance via random chests or dropped loot from enemies but there are a handful of powerful items that are rewarded via quests or other tasks.

Take, for example, the Gentleman's Favor. This stunning Greatsword is given to players by Jakin Madsen as a reward for completing the House of Valor Faction Quest Championship Match. It's worth the grind, as it comes with 168 physical damage and 38 piercing damage. What makes this sword truly shine, though, are its effects. Players will see a 20 percent increase in their health and physical damage, as well as a 10 percent increase in piercing damage.

3 Shipbuilder's Mate (Hammer)

The Shipbuilder's Mate hammer has the highest base damage in the game. This unique weapon is exclusive to The Legend of Dead Kel DLC. Interestingly, this hammer was originally not intended to be a weapon. Thankfully, it is highly effective at being one.

2 Dragonfang (Longsword)

KingdomsOfAmalurDragonfang

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is a ton of fun but there are some areas in the game that can be pretty difficult. As players progress further into their journey, they will find themselves in situations where they are outnumbered by foes and it becomes important to have offensive weapons that are capable of keeping a player on their feet during some of the bigger scraps.

The Dragonfang is the perfect balance of offense and stability, thanks to its interesting effects and modifiers. It comes with 84 physical damage, 33 piercing damage, and 25 burning over 7 seconds. Past its base stats, it boosts fire damage by 35 percent and has a 15 percent chance to steal 25 health per hit.

Dragonfang can be found in chests or as loot, randomly.

1 Sword of the Bolgan King (Greatsword)

Sword of the Bolgan King

The Sword of the Bolgan King is an incredibly powerful and heavy weapon. It has the highest base damage out of all the greatswords in the game. Although it doesn't have any additional effects, its incredible physical and piercing damage more than makes up for it.

This weapon deals 202 physical damage and 36 piercing damage. This weapon can be found at random. It can either be found in chests or as drops by Bolgan enemies.
