Disney has always been an integral part of Kingdom Hearts, with worlds from various Disney properties being the bulk of the explorable locales in the series. And within these worlds, the Disney characters are the ones who define Sora, Donald, and Goofy’s adventures there.

However, not every Disney cameo requires an entire in-game level to highlight them. Stitch originally appeared in Kingdom Hearts 2, but Lilo and Stitch didn’t have a world until the next game. Similarly, Chicken Little and Bambi have never had worlds despite their protagonists appearing as summons in the series. So, there’s precedent for solo character cameos, and these would be some of the best candidates for this.

8 Grunkle Stan

When thinking of characters to pick out of Gravity Falls, most people would likely select either Dipper or Mabel as they are the main characters. However, it’s hard to deny that Grunkle Stan has the strongest personality in the show.

Specifically, the best way to use Stan would be to play on his role as the owner of the Mystery Shack. Picture an in-game store run by Stan, offering strange items with hidden uses. This might provide some interesting gameplay systems, and Sora just happens to be the kind of gullible kid Stan wouldn’t be able to resist swindling.

7 Mirabel

Disney Encanto Mirabel

2021s Encanto was one of Disney’s biggest musical successes in recent years. It focused on a superpowered Columbian family struggling with the sudden loss of their abilities. As the sole powerless descendant of the family, Mirabel spends the movie trying to prove herself and fix her family’s issues.

Her energetic personality would bounce off Sora perfectly, and the two could easily become fast friends. Hearing about her family troubles might even prompt some discussion about Sora’s parents, which fans have been wanting to know about for over twenty years now. Using Encanto for a redemptive musical world might also be worth a try.

6 Lilo

As previously mentioned, Stitch originally appeared in KH2 in Radiant Garden and was later seen again in Birth By Sleep in his own world. However, this world only covered the opening portion of Lilo and Stitch, meaning Lilo herself was nowhere to be found.

It’s honestly a crime that the series has come so far without Lilo making an appearance. As popular as Stitch is by himself, it’s his relationship with Lilo that serves as the heart of the original movie. If Stitch is going to remain a wandering entity in KH, maybe it’s time he brought Lilo along too.

5 Max Goof

Max and Goofy disco dancing in An Extremely Goofy Movie

Goofy is in hot contention for the most frequently appearing Disney character in all of KH, as he and Donald are the main party members for all of the numbered titles. Yet, there is never any mention of his son, Max. It’s not even clear if Max exists in the world of KH.

Even when players are allowed to visit Disney Castle, Max is nowhere to be found. It’s about time this changed. His relationship with his son is some of the best character development Goofy ever gets, and in KH where he is a royal guard, it would be interesting to see a version of Max who actually looks up to his dad.

4 Della Duck

Della Duck in Ducktales

Speaking of neglected Disney family members, Donald’s nephews have been in KH since the first game, but their mother Della is still nowhere to be found. To be fair, Della only received a proper characterization in Ducktales (2017), which was airing while KH3 was in development. Going forward though, she should definitely be included.

The Ducktales version of her would be just as enthusiastic about adventure as Sora and would be a good foil to the often cowardly KH iteration of Donald. Especially as the search for Sora seems to be the main plot of KH4, Della could provide some much-needed backup for her brother.

3 Tiana

While The Princess and The Frog deserves its own KH world, that level of effort isn’t necessary to give Tiana a moment in the spotlight. After all, Belle and Cinderella appeared in KH1 without corresponding worlds.

As one of the more down-to-earth princesses, it would be fun to see how Tiana reacts to the shenanigans of Kingdom Hearts. She could provide some much-needed grounding to Sora and his friends, or even provide another cooking minigame at her restaurant. And since the ‘princess of heart’ roles swaps periodically, there’s a convenient reason to have her appear in the series.

2 Kuzco

Kuzco in Emperor New Groove Voiced By David Spade

One of the biggest snubs for KH’s Disney worlds has to be The Emperor’s New Groove. The ship may have sailed on a full world, but there’s no reason Kuzco couldn’t still make an appearance. Explaining his presence outside of his own world might be tough, but it would be worth it.

Kuzco’s main selling point has always been his humor. Whether he’s talking down to others or getting humbled himself, he’s consistently hilarious. Stick him next to Sora and the jokes write themselves. Sora’s combination of naivety and strength makes him perfect to act as Kuzco’s combination of verbal punching bag and bodyguard.

1 Luz Noceda

If there’s someone who would need no reason to go exploring different worlds, it’s Luz. Her curious spirit makes the world of KH a veritable playground for her. She even left home to explore a new world, just like Sora and his friends dreamed of doing.

Of all the characters who would be fast friends with Sora, Luz is high on the list. Not only are they the same age, but they share a goofy sense of humor, as well as a serious sense of responsibility to their friends. It would be great to see her use her magic to aid Sora in battle, but even as a short cameo Luz would certainly steal the scene.
