Players will be able to experience the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack like never before in Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, and the PlayStation Store recently uploaded the upcoming Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory demo to its servers. Players can't download it at this moment, but they will be able to when the official release date rolls around, and according to the demo's listing that will be tomorrow, October 15.

It's been a few weeks since Square Enix revealed at the 2020 Tokyo Game Show that Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory would be receiving a free demo before its full launch in November. In that time, several details concerning the demo have come out, but until now it was unclear when players would actually be able to get their hands on it.

The demo only features English audio, but it will allow players to change the subtitles to Arabic, German, English, Italian, French, and Spanish. The file size comes out to 579.94 MB on the PlayStation 4, and Square Enix revealed the six songs that will be available in the demo once it releases. For the most part, each track comes from a different Kingdom Hearts title, with the original game being the only exception. The song list includes:

  • Welcome to Wonderland (Kingdom Hearts 1)
  • Hand in Hand (Kingdom Hearts 1)
  • The Rustling Forest (Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep)
  • Wave of Darkness I (Kingdom Hearts: 0.2 Birth By Sleep)
  • Sinister Shadows (Kingdom Hearts 2)
  • All For One (Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance)

Technically, a seventh song exists in the form of "Dive Into the Heart -Destati-," but this song only acts as a tutorial track, and once players complete it they won't be able to play through it again. Players will need to beat Destati in order to access the other six songs freely. The first four in the list are Field Battle songs, and are single-player only in the demo. The latter two pieces of music are only available in the demo's multiplayer mode.

The demo should allow players to prepare for the full version of Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, especially since they can choose between the Beginner, Standard, and Proud mode difficulties when selecting a song to play through. It is worth noting that none of the saved information on the demo will carry over to the full game, so players that earn any notable achievements on a musical track will have to redo it on the full version.

Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory launches November 12 for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
