Likely in a bid to tide over waiting fans, Square Enix has been releasing small updates such as the availability of the Kingdom Hearts 4 soundtrack on vinyl and the opening of pre-orders like this leather sofa.On the official Japanese Square Enix Twitter account, the company announced that preorders have opened for a beautiful Kingdom Hearts Chesterfield sofa. The price of the furniture piece is a bit on the high end, set at 297,000 yen or roughly $2,132 USD. However, fans will probably appreciate all the small details in the black leather sofa that pay homage to the JRPG series. Several Kingdom Hearts icons such as the Mickey Mouse logo, crown, key, and heart are embossed all over the sofa, while a metal plate with the series' title can be found below the left arm rest.
According to the official website, the one-seater is being produced in Fukuoka's Okawa City, a well-known furniture production area in Japan responsible for "Okawa Furniture." The product will be handmade by the craftspeople from this area, which probably explains the high price of the piece. For hardcore Kingdom Hearts fans with the budget, preorders of the Chesterfield sofa are open until July 2, 2023, and delivery will start on October 14, 2023. Given that the item weighs around 41 kg, interested buyers should expect shipping fees appropriate to the package's weight.
