Back in November, the Kingdom Hearts -World of Tres- concert told attendees that a Kingdom Hearts 3 update would give the game three new features: Premium Menu, Data Greeting, and Slideshow. Fans took to social media to inform everyone else of the information but had no way of conveying visuals for each of the features described. Today, however, some new screenshots have released that show each of these features in action. The Premium Menu will give players creative, alternative ways to adjust the difficulty of the game. Currently, KH3 players can only manipulate difficulty before starting a new game and by choosing one of four settings: Beginner, Standard, Proud, and Critical. However, Premium Menu will allow players to make the game easier or harder in the middle of a playthrough via a selection of unique "codes." Premium Menu will also allow players to take on additional challenges called "Merits," but whether or not completing these challenges will grant Kingdom Hearts 3 players exclusive rewards remains to be seen.
Both the Data Greeting and Slideshow features will make use of Kingdom Hearts 3's photo mode. Data Greeting will allow players to create their own custom photos through a wide selection of options. They'll be able to choose what world the picture takes place in and what characters and objects populate it. For example, players will be able to choose any of the main characters and their variations (such as KH3 or KH2 Sora) and place them in various locations on Destiny Islands (an unexplorable world in the vanilla game). They can then surround their characters with "objects" like Heartless and Dream Eaters, and they'll also be able to choose what kind of pose their selected characters take before snapping their photo.

Finally, Slideshow will allow players to take any of their screenshots and create slideshows out of them. Players can edit these slideshows to have unique effects, such as giving their images frames. Players can even search and select official Kingdom Hearts music tracks to play in the background of their slideshow. From the tweeted screenshots, it looks like slideshows can hold up to at least 13 different images and can last for 30 seconds (possibly longer).

Kingdom Hearts 3 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
