The release date for Kingdom Hearts 3 Re: Mind just dropped via a brand new trailer.

The Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World of Tres- concert said that this trailer would be dropping soon. It also described a future update for Kingdom Hearts 3 that would add two primary new features to the game called Premium Menu and Data Creating; although, these two items don't make an appearance in the trailer.

Fans can expect to play out the definitive end to the Xehanort Saga on January 23, 2020, for PS4, and February 25, 2020, for Xbox One. What the trailer does show will leave most fans excited. The Secret Episode contains much more content than originally anticipated. It looks to be more in-depth than the Secret Episode of Birth By Sleep Final Mix, which was a playable episode in and of itself. Re: Mind will give fans a detailed answer to what happened to Sora at the end of the game while also fleshing out the Kingdom Hearts story in other areas, such as older plotlines. In the very first Kingdom Hearts, Sora wondered aloud if whether or not the strange dreams he was having were real. Well, the final shot of the trailer sees him confronting another character (someone from the Kingdom Hearts 3 secret ending) who's echoing the same question.

Also, it looks like the game will be receiving a "Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix" treatment, as Sora will be able to face off against all of the members of Organization 13 again; only this time, they'll be much stronger. The trailer only shows Sora fighting against Larxene, Terranort, Riku Replica, Ansem SOD, and Xemnas, but the fact that so many members make appearance suggests that the rest will too.

Other details about the DLC mentioned that characters aside from Sora, Riku, and Aqua would be playable, but to what extent wasn't known until now. The initial belief was that players would only be able to take control of these characters during their specific final battles, but this new trailer confirms there will be other scenarios where players control them, too. Speaking of characters, the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee of Final Fantasy characters will return in Re: Mind, as well. Nomura originally left them out of the game because he thought fans would not want them getting in the way of the story. It seems he's realized his error.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is available now for PS4 and Xbox One.
