With E3 2018 right around the corner, many would agree that one of the most anticipated games appearing at the prestigious gaming event is Kingdom Hearts 3. A potential release date and more information about Square Enix's upcoming action role-playing game are reason enough to be excited about its E3 presence, but adding to that, it has recently been revealed that the title will be playable at E3 2018.

The hands-on gameplay recently revealed showcases a battle with Titan, the Toy Story world, Keyblade transformations, summons, and more, so making the game playable at E3 makes a lot of sense. While many may have speculated about this point, the Square Enix USA Twitter account recently gave a solid confirmation. However, it does remain unknown whether the section previously revealed of the game will be playable or an entirely new section.

As seen below, after thanking those who went to the Kingdom Hearts 3 premiere, the company tweeted that the first chance to play the highly-anticipated installment of the franchise would be at Square Enix's E3 booth. Needless to say, many Kingdom Hearts fans, especially those planning to attend the event, will be excited to hear the game is that far along.

Many gamers may have thought this day would never come, as Kingdom Hearts 3 was officially announced back in 2013 after concepts for the game were discussed as far back as 2006. With Kingdom Hearts 3 being playable at E3 2018, it seems much more likely that the game will release this year, although many may continue to doubt this until a release date is confirmed.

Speaking of a release date, comments made by Kingdom Hearts 3 director Tetsuya Nomura suggest that an official release date will be confirmed at E3 2018, though it does remain to be seen. With all the rumors and news revolving around Kingdom Hearts 3 and E3 2018, it will hopefully live up to the expectations that have been building since the first reveal back in 2013.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
