As gamers continue to head towards one of the biggest lineups of Holiday releases ever seen later this, it still proves to be hard not to be excited for what awaits in 2016 and beyond. While there are a number of blockbusters en route, one of the biggest happens to be the Square Enix and Disney collaboration, Kingdom Hearts 3. The game has always been one of the more bizarre and thoroughly enjoyable crossovers in gaming history, and that likely won't change with the next installment.

While the lore surrounding the characters is something that fans have quickly fallen in love with, the franchise itself has always been a solo affair – allowing individuals to experience it on their own befire then reminiscing with friends afterward. With Kingdom Hearts 3, many expected that this particular aspect of the formula would remain intact, but it seems like multiplayer may be factoring into the game in some capacity.

Found within the same resume that seemingly revealed Kingdom Hearts 2.9, details pertaining to the next core iteration of the series have been spilled. Admittedly, longtime followers will be hard-pressed to be all too disappointed by this given the lack of information that's been released on KH3, but it's no doubt surprising considering that multiplayer in any capacity hasn't appeared in any form within the property thus far.

The portion of the employee's resume that appears to give it away has been logged by fan site KH13, and with it the apparent design plans to incorporate some sort of multiplayer component. Gamers can take a look at the Kingdom Hearts 3 section from the document below:

If Square does indeed plan on implementing multiplayer, then there's no telling to what extent it will be featured. It could be anything ranging from inserting local or online co-op into the Kingdom Hearts franchise, to leaderboards for high scores, to some sort of competitive online battle mode. There's no telling which direction the company could take with it, although fans will likely find out sooner rather than later.

It should also be noted that one of the listed jobs – meeting with Pixar – would only be relevant if one of the studio's films were set to be incorporated into Kingdom Hearts 3, which seems a very likely scenario if the job descriptions in this resume turn out to be the real McCoy. This property would then join the game alongside the only other confirmed world from Big Hero 6.
