With just several days to go until its official release in North America, Disney and Square Enix have teamed up to promote the forthcoming Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX with a brand new trailer entitled "Fight the Darkness." With the Heartless threatening to wrap all of the worlds in complete and utter darkness, players will be tasked with wielding their respective Keyblades to protect each realm and stop them from accomplishing their evil goals.

As seen in the trailer below for Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, fans of the franchise are given a primer and brief recap of all of the events in the six games included in this updated and graphically overhauled compendium package for the PlayStation 4. For those unaware, this compilation from Disney and Square Enix includes all of the remastered Kingdom Hearts titles that were previously released for the PlayStation 3.

Throughout Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, players take on the roles of Sora, Donald, and Goofy as they travel to dozens of different Disney worlds in order to fight off the Heartless invasion and restore peace to all of existence. Truly dedicated fans who are looking to relive the entire saga of the Kingdom Hearts story up to this point in time would do well to look into obtaining the game's Limited Edition version, which is obtainable only through Square Enix's Online Store.

Although North America and Europe have yet to receive Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, the compilation has already been released in Japan, but a lot fans in the Eastern country have discovered some problems within the compilation. For instance, the games' shift to 60 FPS seems to drastically affect the physics in KH1 and 2, which also causes certain bosses to behave bizarrely. Not to mention, there have been reports of Japanese version of the compendium having save file issues, causing some games to crash when attempting to overwrite a previous save file.

While it remains to be seen as to whether or not these issues will be prevalent in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX's North American and European versions, Western audiences can only hope for Square Enix to have ironed out any of the aforementioned bugs altogether. With any luck, developers will be able to restore the title to the glory evidenced in this most recent trailer and previously released gameplay footage.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 & 2.5 HD ReMIX is set to release on March 28, 2017 in North America and March 31, 2017 in Europe for PlayStation 4.
