Considering the niche appeal of Warhorse Studios' realistically-driven release of the medieval-era RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance, it has managed to become quite the success after having sold 1 million copies since its launch. Speaking of the title's realism, one fan of the game has decided to alter it with a fantastical element by creating a mod that adds lightsabers from the science fiction franchise, Star Wars.

As seen below, Kingdom Come: Deliverance fans can get a gander at the modder known as UblichenVerdachtigen's creation for the game in action, as it replaces some of the title's metal-based swords with brightly colored lightsabers. Simply dubbed “KCD Lightsaber Models,” UblichenVerdachtigen's mod only provides placement models for the weapons, and it unfortunately doesn't offer a complete Star Wars experience by providing the weapon's iconic sounds from the film franchise.

In an additional bid of unreality, UblichenVerdachtigen's lightsaber mod for Kingdom Come: Deliverance doesn't have the swords retract into their handles when not in use, and they can still be sharpened at a grindstone. Despite this, though, fans who wish to do battle with the Jedi's preferred weapon of choice in Warhorse Studios' medieval-era title can download the the lightsaber models at Nexus Mods right here.

All things considered, this isn't the first mod to have been created for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and it's a safe bet to make that it won't be the last one either. While many of them revise gameplay elements by offering such changes as a dot reticle for players' bow and arrow, or alterations involving tweaks to the save system, it's highly likely that we will continue to see an influx of even wackier mods such as UblichenVerdachtigen's lightsaber creation make their way into the title.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
