New Brisk Bottle Unlocks 'Kinect Star Wars' Game Content

Brisk Iced Tea Star Wars Kinect Xbox 360

Most would be hard set not to see some kind of Star Wars advertisement right now since Lucas decided to squeeze some more blood from that stone and take the franchise into 3D. That plus Kinect Star Wars, which released today, has set the ad world ablaze, plastering Star Wars over every soda can, billboard and 7-11 across the country.

The most recent ad campaign is from Brisk Iced Tea, which has been invading television sets and with their weird stop motion commercials featuring bobble-headed famous people; in this case Yoda and fan favorite Darth Maul, who is being heavily promoting this time around, possibly to wash the stank off the fact that Jar Jar Binks has more screen time.

Brisk will also be offering in-game content to Kinect Star Wars for those who buy the Brisk Iced Tea one-liters adorned with lovable droids C-3PO and R2-D2. What they call the "M-Tag" on the label will unlock an "exclusive Anakin Podracer experience" within the game. Basically meaning, players can race with Anakin's Podracer. What makes this so uniquely interesting is the way in which to claim the content. In order to activate it, one simply holds the bottle's M-Tag thingy up to the Kinect sensor after loading the game and it will take you through the rest of the process by providing instructions on the menu. We can't recall content ever being claimed through this method before, but it's a welcomed alternative to typing in codes.

Kinect Star Wars, which was first presented to fans at E3 2010, was an anticipated title because of its ability to allow players to live out their Jedi fantasies and because it looked amazing, but later previews and demos of the game turned out to be not so encouraging. While the Kinect Star Wars Xbox 360 bundle is almost incentive enough to purchase, recent reviews of the game have not been kind. However, most have claimed that the game's podrace is its strongest feature, which will fit in well for those who want to take advantage of this offer and really, really like low-grade tea.

Kinect Star Wars is available now for the Xbox 360 with Kinect.
