We've brought you plenty of Killzone 3 beta multiplayer footage than you could stand to look at, without wanting to play the game for yourself, we've told you about the pre-order bonuses, and the possibility of split-screen, but what about actual single-player footage of the game?

You'll be excited to know that some special somebody on the internet got the chance to sit down and watch someone else play Killzone 3 - and they recorded it.

The footage isn't the greatest quality, but it's clear enough to see what's going on - and get an idea of what the game's audio sounds like as well.

Important to note that this footage may possibly contain spoilers for story elements, avoid watching the ending segments if want to remain entirely unspoiled when you play Killzone 3 yourself.

Otherwise, check out the 10 minutes of gameplay footage showcasing new weapons, new enemies, and even a new look for series' characters Sev and Rico:

The footage covers a lot of ground - showcasing the up-close-and-personal kill mechanic, a few new weapons (nothing like a three barreled shotgun pistol), and two new Helghast units: Jetpacks and Flamethrowers. It's also worth noting that Guerilla is keeping the previous game's first-person cover mechanic.

Without a doubt, Killzone 3 looks amazing. The flame effects were very impressive and there is some nice dynamic lighting stemming from it. The game bleeds that gritty "in the muck" war element that Killzone 2 aimed to create - and it seems Guerrilla Games is taking that mission statement and increasing it significantly, telling the story that could only be seen through the eyes of the soldier on the ground. For all intents and purposes, if the rest of the game looks this good, Killzone 3 could be one of the best games of 2011.

Killzone 3 will be counter-attacking in February 2011 exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
