All Elite Wrestling star Kenny Omega is a big fan of video games, going as far as to name his finishing move, One Winged Angel, after Final Fantasy 7 villain Sephiroth. Omega has paid tribute to the video game industry in a number of other ways throughout his wrestling career, and this now includes an Undertale-themed entrance where Omega was dressed as Sans on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite.

The latest episode of AEW Dynamite featured a six-man tag team match where Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks, collectively known as The Elite, took on The Hybrid2 and Kip Sabian. Omega's entrance started with an Undertale-style scene that even included a nod to his former tag team partner Kota Ibushi. Omega then appeared on stage as Sans, followed by The Young Bucks, who were once again dressed as Street Fighter characters Ken and Ryu. Considering Omega's love for the Mother series, it's no surprise that he chose to dress as Sans from Undertale, as Toby Fox's indie classic is heavily inspired by Mother/Earthbound.

Omega seems to save his video game and anime attire for the big shows, so it will be interesting to see if he boasts out any unique video game gear at the upcoming AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event on November 9. However, since Omega is wrestling in an Unsanctioned Match that night against Jon Moxley, he may stick to his regular gear. Fans will have to tune in to the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view on November 9 to find out for sure.

In the meantime, video game references in AEW are unlikely to stop anytime soon, especially if AEW hosts another Fyter Fest event next year. For the uninitiated, AEW teamed with the CEO fighting game tournament this past summer to put on the Fyter Fest event. Fyter Fest included a number of video game references throughout, including a match where CEO boss Alex Jebailey was strangled with a GameCube controller by Michael Nakazawa.

Video game references on AEW TV are all fine and good, but some fans may be anxious to learn about a proper AEW video game. With the reception to WWE 2K20 being especially abysmal, now seems like a good time for AEW to strike with its own video game. We know that an AEW video game is in the works in some capacity, but it's unclear how far along it is in development or how long fans will have to wait to get their hands on it. Hopefully we learn more sooner rather than later.

Undertale is available for PC, PS4, PS Vita, and Switch.
