After several delays forced Ember Labs to move the release date of Kena: Bridge of Spirits back to September, fans are finally getting a chance to try out the game. A third-person action-adventure title, the story revolves around Kena, a spirit guide who aids those moving from the physical to the spiritual world. With a mix of combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving elements, there's a lot to experience in the game. Furthermore, the game contains plenty of trophies to collect for those hunting achievements.

While Kena: Bridge of Spirits includes many trophies that shouldn’t be that challenging to complete, there is one that could potentially take a while to finish. This difficult challenge is the Master Spirit Guide trophy. To unlock this achievement normally, a player is required to beat the game not only once but twice. To make it even harder, the player must complete the second playthrough on the hardest difficulty in the game, Master Spirit Guide. However, it seems that there’s a new method to get this time-consuming trophy in a much more time-efficient way.

Recently, an exploit was discovered that allows players to obtain the Master Spirit Guide trophy in minutes instead of hours after completing the story. This exploit works on PS5 and PS4, however, it is unknown if PC players will be able to secure the valuable trophy this way as well. Players need to follow a couple of straightforward steps to complete the trophy with the exploit.

First, players need to go to the meditation spot after defeating the final boss on the first playthrough. Once they are standing inside the ring, they need to perform a manual save. After a save has been created, the player can then let the final cutscene and credits play using the triangle button on PlayStation. The player then needs to start a new game on Master Spirit Guide difficulty, however, they only need to play up until collecting the first Rot in the game.

At this point, they need to pause the game and use the manual save created at the end of the first playthrough of Kena: Bridge of Spirits. This will return the player to the top of the mountain where they can go to the meditation spot. After pressing the triangle button again in the circle, a notification will appear during the credits informing them that the trophy has been unlocked.

It’s worth noting that this method of collecting the Master Spirit Guide trophy is not the way the developers intended since it reduces the second 8-10 hour playthrough of Kena: Bridge of Spirits to only a couple of minutes. As a result, there’s a good chance that Ember Labs could release a patch in the coming days removing the exploit. With this in mind, those that have Kena: Bridge of Spirits and want to complete the trophy without finishing the game on the hardest difficulty should probably hurry.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is available on PC, PS4, and PS5.
