A modder adds multiple Keanu Reeves characters to stealth action game Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. One of the characters that players of the Konami game can "play" as with the mod is Johnny Silverhand, the character the Reeves has done the motion capture and voice acting work for in sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077.

JinMar, a modder who creates content for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, has created a mod that lets players control Johnny Silverhand or John Wick from the eponymous movie series.

To get the mod, players will first have to download the SnakeBite mod manager for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and then download JinMar's mod. Go to the avatar customization option to flick between the two Keanu Reeves characters.

The mod adds two versions of Johnny Silverhand, one with glasses and one without. By using another mod, called TMWSTW Bare arms, players can also give the character a bionic arm so that he really looks as he does in Cyberpunk 2077. The customized avatar may not be able to say any of the dialogue from Cyberpunk 2077, with Reeves' character having the second most amount of dialogue in that game, but the modded character still really looks like Johnny Silverhand. The modded John Wick character nearly looks as good as Reeves does in the movies too.

This Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain mod is just a bit of fun, but it does show just how much support Reeves has in the gaming community. After the wholesome "You're Breathtaking" moment from E3 2019, which earned one fan a free copy of the Cyberpunk 2077 collector's edition, gamers seem to be incredibly enamored with the Hollywood star.

Some Keanu Reeves fans have also campaigned for the actor to be made Time's person of the year, while others have asked Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED to add a special Reeves achievement to the game. It's unclear whether these things will happen, however hard fans are campaigning. However, like with this Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain mod, fans are unlikely to stop trying to come up with ways to show their love for Hollywood and gaming's new "it" man.
