About a couple of months ago, it was discovered that the world renowned rapper and music producer Kanye West was following the developer CD Projekt Red's Twitter account for Cyberpunk 2077, leading to theories that he was connected to the project in some way. Now, it looks as if Ye continues to be a fan of the video game medium, as he recently took to his own Twitter profile to express an interest in meeting the Kojima Productions founder Hideo Kojima.

As seen in the tweet below, Kanye stated that he was aware of the Kojima Productions head being in New York City, so he reached out to his 28.8 million-plus followers on the social media site to see if anyone could help him get in contact with Kojima-san. Interestingly enough, The Game Awards founder and close friend of the Metal Gear Solid creator, Geoff Keighley, declared that he would put the two in contact with one another.

With Kanye being one of the most well known figures on the planet, his desire to meet Kojima will lead to plenty of speculation as to what the musician and game director would discuss should they meet up. Ye's reportedly busy creating a new album with the working title, Yandhi, and Kojima's deep in development with Death Stranding, so perhaps the two will find a way to collaborate with one another by having the former contribute a song or musical piece to the upcoming PlayStation exclusive.

For those unaware, Yeezy already has his foot in video game development, as he has his own gaming project in the works that’s inspired by his single “Only One,” which is about an imagined conversation between West's daughter and his mother, who passed away in 2007. With this being the case, there's a chance that Kanye simply wants to meet with Kojima to profess his adoration for the Metal Gear Solid creator's work, and maybe even pick up a few tips on game production in the process.

Taking everything into consideration, we will have to wait and see if anything significant transpires between Kanye and Kojima's prospective get-together. After all, there's no doubt that a meeting of these two minds has plenty of potential for a project of gargantuan proportions. However, there's always the possibility that Ye just wants to approach Kojima-san as a fan of his work, and get insider info that would dispel some of the secrecy surrounding Death Stranding.

Kanye West's next album is currently in the works without a scheduled release date. Kojima Productions' Death Stranding also lacks an official launch date, but is expected to launch for PlayStation 4.
