Without a doubt, CD Projekt Red's forthcoming action role-playing game, Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most highly anticipated titles in recent memory, and it looks as if its scope and sphere of influence is large enough to encompass even some of the biggest entertainers on the planet. As it so happens, the world renowned music producer and rapper Kanye West actually follows the game's official Twitter account.

As seen in the screenshot below, Kanye West has decided to follow a select few accounts on Twitter, and with Cyberpunk 2077 being among the 18 others (some of which he has collaborated with in one way or another), it makes one wonder whether or not he has some sort of connection to the development of the action-RPG. Then again, there's also the chance that Ye could simply be a fan of what he's seen from the game so far, and might want to keep up on the latest news that CD Projekt Red has to offer.

For those unaware, Kanye announced several years ago that he has a video game in the works that's inspired by his single “Only One,” which is about an imagined conversation between West’s daughter and his mother, who passed away in 2007. With this being the case, there's a good chance that his interest in game development has led to him rubbing elbows at one point in time with folks connected to CD Projekt Red, spurring his interest in Cyberpunk 2077.

So, with 'Ye working on his own game, it really isn't too outlandish to see him following Cyberpunk 2077 on Twitter, especially with CD Projekt Red generally being considered as one of the most cutting edge studios in the business. Then again, it's worth noting that Lady Gaga got a tweet from the Twitter account for Cyberpunk 2077 not too long ago, so perhaps hers and Kanye's music will be featured in the action-RPG in some capacity. Of course, we will simply have to wait and see if both Yeezus and Gaga are actually connected to the game in any way whatsoever.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development without a release date, but is expected to launch for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
