Women. They are a very pivotal part of many crime drama stories. Almost anything the protagonist(s) do is usually influenced by a woman. The latest trailer for Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is no different and does a good job of driving that point home, especially if the girl is the significant other of an on-again-off-again medicated psychopath. This most recent trailer details a bit more of the story surrounding the game, specifically, the side-plot from the “two guys just pissed off the Shanghai underworld” story. Expect to see some more gun play, environments, and more of the “YouTube-esque” graphics. Warning: the trailer does contain some naughty language, so avoid clicking “play” if this would offend you.

It’s not a secret that I’m excited about this game. Not that I liked the prequel very much, but the game has seen a large overhaul of what it once was. When you look at it that way, the game actually appears as an entirely different animal. The gameplay looks fast, heavy, and incredibly explicit in both content and language. I couldn’t ask for anything more in terms of a crime drama. I’m voting this game as an underdog this year and I hope IO Interactive has the gusto to make it something with which people will be pleasantly surprised.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will <bleep> people’s <bleep> up on August 24, 2010 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
