One franchise that fans can always expect to see at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference every year is Just Dance, and the company’s E3 2017 event was no different. As announced by Ubisoft at E3, Just Dance 2018 will launch on October 26th for just about every home video game console on the market today, and even some that have been discontinued.

Just Dance 2018 is making its way to modern consoles like PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, as well as last-generation systems like PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. If that weren’t enough, anyone that has yet to put their Wii in storage can also pick up Just Dance 2018 for that platform, if they so desire.

While picking up the game for dated platforms is a choice, those that decide to purchase Just Dance 2o18 for PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch will receive a three month free trial to the Just Dance Unlimited service. This gives players access to over 300 additional songs that aren’t included on the disc, with plans to add even more songs to the service in the coming months.

For those that aren’t interested in subscribing to the Just Dance Unlimited service, there will be at least 40 songs included with the game itself. These songs will mostly consist of newer pop hits, such as “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars and “Side to Side” by Ariana Grande featuring Nicki Minaj. Just Dance 2018 will also have some K-Pop tracks as well, such as “Bubble Pop” by the popular artist HyunA.

While the songs are new, Just Dance 2018 looks like it will be an almost identical experience to the games that came before it. For the most part, the Just Dance series has remained fairly static over the years, adding new songs but rarely expanding on the franchise’s established gameplay mechanics and features.

However, one could argue that a series like Just Dance doesn’t need to constantly innovate to remain relevant. The series has continued to be a strong seller for Ubisoft, and one has to imagine that Just Dance 2018 will continue the dancing franchise’s streak of success.
