Avalanche Studios has revealed the map for Just Cause 4, the upcoming installment to the long-running action-adventure franchise. As expected, the game’s map is huge, which allows players to explore a vast open world environment, which will feature weather patterns that include tornadoes, sandstorms, blizzards, and more.

Just Cause 4 fans can now access a peek of the map below, and fans will notice that it features the South American country of Solis, which is divided into “four distinct biomes.” It is not clear whether the map in the game wilj actually be bigger than its predecessor, but the world’s diverse area includes several mountainous regions, a lush forest, and vast grasslands that proves just how massive the environment is. The preview map on JC4's official website also features a few interactive elements including an audio prompt that reveals a transmission calling for backup, a video clip that delves into the game’s weather patterns, and a photo of Nueva Voz, the game's capital city.

Just Cause 4 was previously announced in a press conference at E3 2018 a few months ago. The game’s first trailer was unveiled at the event and gave fans a preview of what the sequel has to offer, which includes unpredictable weather elements that will bring chaos and destruction in the game’s environment. Series protagonist Rico Rodriguez was shown traversing the unforgiving terrain of Solis in various land, air, and water vehicles.

Gameplay footage for Just Cause 4 was also revealed by publisher Square Enix at E3 2018. The preview showcased the action-packed adventure that players are in for, as the sequel is set to introduce massive improvements of in-game gadgets. Moreover, a more intelligent AI guarantees that enemies would impose a more significant threat to players, as the game’s combat has been overhauled to ensure that issues experienced in JC3 will no longer be present in the upcoming sequel.
