Jurassic World Evolution 2 is in the hands of players at last, answering to what was lacking in the first title by adding more dinosaurs, building customization, and many more adjustments to the systems players had learned to master in the past. Out of the many Jurassic Park dinosaurs players can save in the wild and revitalize from fossils, marine reptiles and flying reptiles have made their debut. For the fans eager to bring these new dinosaurs to their parks, this guide goes over how to unlock the Aviary and flying reptiles.
For Jurassic Park fans, seeing flying reptiles like tapejara and diomophodon in the skies above dinosaurs like the allosaurus seems like an everyday sight. However, many fans went without it as flying reptiles weren't in the original Jurassic World Evolution. After many player demands, the creatures are now in JWE2 and can be unlocked through research.
How to Unlock the Aviary
Unlocking the Aviary is fairly simple. The quickest way to get it and the flying reptiles it's meant to house is to play Challenge mode. The nodes are available from the start and aren't hidden away behind unlock requirements. The requirement is also fairly simple, as it only requires players to raise their park rating to 2 stars (2.0 stars.) Once fans reach that rating, they can simply go to the Science Center and pay to have their scientists research the Aviary to have the option to build one for themselves.
How to Unlock Flying Reptiles
The fastest way to unlock flying reptiles in Jurassic World Evolution 2 is to complete the research in Challenge mode, much like the Aviary. Once the enclosure for the creatures is unlocked, players will already have met the requirement needed for the first flying reptiles node. From there, it's a matter of reaching the other unlock requirements and using the park's hired scientists to fans' advantage. The unlock requirements and rewards for all the nodes can be found below.

Alternatively, if fans think Challenge mode is a bit too difficult, the Aviary can be found in Campaign mode as well, but only after players have cleared more than half of it, leading players to spend more time on unlocking the creatures. No matter how the flying reptiles are unlocked, once the player manages to do so, they'll be available automatically in sandbox mode to play with however fans would like to.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
