A key aspect in Jurassic World Evolution 2 is the collection of dinosaurs that players can purchase and have filling their parks to attract guests to come visit different attractions. So, introducing new dinosaurs is among the best additions that developer Frontier Development can add to the game in order to keep both Jurassic World Evolution 2's in-game guests and players happy.

In a newly announced DLC, Frontier Development has unveiled plans to release a set of new dinosaurs in the Early Cretaceous Pack that will be arriving alongside the first major update to Jurassic World Evolution 2 on December 9th, 2021. Among these new dinosaurs, however, Frontier Development has only initially shown what one of these creatures might look like when it arrives in this upcoming DLC pack.

To start off this first wave of DLC, Frontier Development has shared a short video displaying the Kronosaurus, a new aquatic lizard that will be joining when the upcoming pack launches. As fans of this type of dinosaur might know, the Kronosaurus is an allegator-like creature with large fins instead of legs that would have spent its time entirely in the water during the early Cretaceous period on Earth. It makes for an intriguing addition to Jurassic World Evolution 2's list of dinosaurs, especially as one of the few aquatic creatures that fill the massive aquariums players can build to house them.

The Kronosaurus, however, is not the only new dinosaur arriving in the Early Cretaceous Pack, as three other new attractions are also planned to arrive on December 9th. These new dinosaurs include the Dsungaripterus, Minmi, and Wuerhosaurus, which currently haven't been given a visual reveal for how they might appear during the upcoming DLC. It can be seen that the Dsungaripterus are a flying creature, making safely enclosing these dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution 2 its own challenge apart from the general lizard population.

It would appear that this upcoming DLC pack will only include the four new dinosaurs, and won't be bringing any new features along with the creatures. However, the Early Cretaceous Pack will also be launching alongside the first major free update, which will be bringing its own set of features to Jurassic World Evolution 2. In this case, between the update and the DLC, December 9th is going to be a big day for players who should be getting the first real look at how Frontier Development plans on progressing the title further into its lifecycle.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
