First 'Jurassic Park' Trailer From TellTale Games

Telltale's Jurassic Park

TellTale Games have been keeping pretty quiet about their upcoming Jurassic Park game. Other then releasing a few details and a some screenshots, there hasn't been any actual gameplay shown of TellTale's upcoming dino game. That's why it's so refreshing to finally get a trailer that at least shows some of the in-game cinematics that can be found in the new Jurassic Park game.

This first Jurassic Park trailer doesn't show off any actual gameplay, but it does feature a compilation of sorts from many of the game's cinematic sequences. They are quite nicely detailed and don't follow TellTale's trademark cartoony look in the least, which will help draw in fans of the original feature films. Graphically, the episodic dinosaur-filled adventure isn't nearly as sharp as a lot of other games currently available, but they present gamers with a more realistic feel than that of TellTale's Back to the Future.

The first trailer showing off Telltale's Jurassic Park can be seen in all of its horrifyingly-awesome glory right here.

The trailer does give viewers an understanding of what to expect from the eventual game but it would have been nice preferable to see how the gameplay in Jurassic Park actually plays out and what mechanics Telltale will be using for the series. It was confirmed that Jurassic Park has drawn a lot of its inspiration from from Heavy Rain, so it seems that those planning on purchasing an episode or five should be prepared for a lot of well-timed button pushing.

From what we know of the Jurassic Park story so far, it takes place during/after the events of the first movie, and that we'll finally see what happened to the bottle of dinosaur embryos that Dennis Nedry (played by Wayne Knight) dropped after presumably being eaten by a Dilophosaurus. Players will follow characters such as Jurassic Park's veterinarian Gerry Harding and his daughter as they try to find out what is happening on the island and how they can escape it.

Telltale's Jurassic Park will be available on PC and Mac later this year. There are also currently mumblings of the series making the jump to consoles, so don't worry if you have a crappy computer and can't download the games.
