When Jump Force was revealed during Microsoft's E3 press conference, anime fans around the world may have been in awe of the crossover. Featuring the titular character from Naruto, Light Yagami from Death Note, Goku from Dragon Ball, and Luffy from One Piece, Jump Force debuted with a powerful trailer, but there has been no mention about the size of the game's roster.

While speculation concerning Bandai Namco's upcoming fighting game is rampant, there are two new characters we now know are in the game. Seen in footage captured at E3, it has been confirmed that Naruto's Sasuke Uchiha and One Piece's Roronoa Zoro are playable fighters in Jump Force. Moreover, thanks to IGN, we also know that this fighting game will contain characters who will have their first video game appearance.

However, it's unfortunate that the aforementioned characters weren't revealed, nor was there much shown concerning Sasuke or Roronoa Zoro. It's worth mentioning, though, that Sasuke seems to be taking his Shippuden appearance and Zoro appears to have his telltale over his eye, which at least gives fans a time frame for the character's powers. Check it out below:

It'll also be interesting to see how in-game rivalries, such as that of Naruto and Sasuke or Goku and Frieza, manifest as banter or conflict in the game. Hopefully, the game also gives One Piece a better video game presence than One Piece: Burning Blood, as anime fans may already have high hopes for this crossover title.

Although fans still have a long wait for this game, it will hopefully be filled with more and more character reveals. Hopefully, the game also takes note from some of the best anime games of all time. Speculation has fans expecting characters from BleachHunter x Hunter, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, but it'll be interesting to see what the game surprises its players with. Tell us, Ranters, what kind of characters do you want to see in Bandai Namco's Jump Force?

Jump Force is scheduled to release for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2019.
