Jump Force continues to get new DLC into 2020 with the newest representation being from Yoshihiro Togashi's hit manga Hunter X Hunter. This new DLC character was announced via a tweet from Bandai Namco US's official twitter account showing the new character.
This fantasy manga already has Gon, Killua, Kurapika, Hisoka, and Biscuit as representation within Jump Force and Biscuit himself being DLC. However, more representation will be arriving with the inclusion of Meruem.
For those unfamiliar, Meruem is known as the Chimera Ant King in Hunter X Hunter and uses his influence to take over the Republic of East Gorteau and manipulate the population for sources of food. He serves as a powerful enemy that Gon and Killua have to defeat.
Some may be surprised that Jump Force is getting DLC despite the lukewarm reception it received upon release. There are in fact many more DLC characters that have been released, including Shoto Todoroki of My Hero Academia.
With this, there is some speculation on who else will be added as DLC in Jump Force's future. Some fans want representation from other shounen manga properties such as Assassination Classroom and Gintama. Meanwhile other fans want more representation for series's that only have one or two characters in Jump Force, such as Fist of the North Star and Yu-Gi-Oh. Either way, whoever comes next is a complete mystery.
Jump Force is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One with a Switch version coming soon.
