However, some techniques are the most awe-inspiring of the lot in Jujutsu Kaisen. Gege Akutami has created a modern masterpiece that has taken the anime landscape by storm, in no small part because of MAPPA's incredible animation. Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen have witnessed a wealth of powerful cursed techniques over the course of the series, with some being more powerful than others. Some of these abilities are localized to one person, while others can be used by many powerful Jujutsu Sorcerers if they train hard and have the talent required to replicate these moves. With how many powerful jujutsu abilities there are in the series, more have been added to help fill out this list.

24 Ratio

Kento Nanami

• Technique Debut: Episode 9 (Young Fish and Reverse Punishment)

Kento Nanami is easily one of the more unique characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. He seems like a world-weary sorcerer who has seen it all, with his calm and rational approach in combat being one of his best traits.

Given his calculating mindset, it's easy to see why he gets to use a complicated Ratio technique. By dividing his enemies into ten parts and hitting the 7:3 ratio point, Kento can turn this area into a weak point and hit it for massive damage.

23 Boogie Woogie

Aoi Todo

• Technique Debut: Episode 15 (Kyoto Sister School Goodwill Event - Team Battle, Part 1)

While Boogie Woogie might not be the most powerful technique on this list in the slightest, it's the manner in which Aoi Todo uses it that makes it such a formidable Jujutsu ability. With a simple clap of his hands, Todo can switch his position with that of any other person or object with Cursed Energy.

The utility of this move in a fight is truly unmatched. Todo can easily bamboozle opponents with this move and carry out clever moves to gain a much-needed advantage in battle. It helps that his eccentric personality and monstrous strength make what should be a pretty basic Cursed Technique into one of the best parts of the show.

22 Projection Sorcery

Naobito Zenin, Naoya Zenin

• Technique Debut: Episode 38 (Fluctuations)

One of the coolest techniques displayed during the Shibuya Incident was the powers of one of the members of the Zenin family. Despite being disposed of in record time, Naobito Zenin wowed fans with an ability that animation nerds would go gaga over.

His innate Projection Sorcery ability lets him trap enemies in a state where they must adhere to the 24 FPS rule. Failing to do so will leave them stuck in place, making it easy for the sorcerer to dispose of these enemies without breaking a sweat.

21 Construction

Mai Zenin, Yorozu

• Technique Debut: Episode 17 (Kyoto Sister School Goodwill Event - Team Battle, Part 3)

The potential for Construction is immense, with the idea of forming things out of cursed energy being a game-changer in the hands of anyone with limitless powers. However, as things stand, the only person who has used this ability in the series is Mai Zenin, who has to cultivate a day's worth of Cursed Energy to fashion one solitary bullet out of thin air.

A new sorcerer by the name of Yorozu is poised to show off this ability during the Culling Game arc. Fans can't wait to see the true extent of this cursed technique's potential in the anime.

20 Black Flash

Yuta Okkotsu, Kento Nanami, Satoru Gojo, Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki, Mahito, Aoi Todo, Sukuna

• Technique Debut: Episode 19 (Black Flash)

After gaining the friendship of Aoi Todo, Yuji practiced his taijutsu to master a powerful Cursed Technique that could decimate enemies. This technique was aptly labeled the Black Flash.

Watching him use and perfect this move in a fight against Hanami was an absolute treat to witness. Landing consecutive Black Flashes had quite a massive impact on the Special Grade Curse, who was left reeling after this barrage of attacks. With enough practice, Itadori can wipe out the toughest enemies around with a technique that perfectly complements his strength.

19 Disaster Plants

Hanami

• Technique Debut: Episode 7 (Assault)

Speaking of Hanami, one can't fail to mention his powerful Cursed Ability as well. The fact that he can infuse plants with Cursed Energy and use them for his nefarious purposes should definitely be commended.

Along with this, he can even suck out the life energy of these plants to heal himself. All in all, Disaster Plants is a powerful technique that more people can't wait to see used even further in the anime. The fight against Todo and Itadori was pretty entertaining in its own right, even if a single attack from Gojo was all it took for this Cursed Spirit to realize that they were completely out of their depth here.

18 Ten Shadows

Megumi Fushiguro

• Technique Debut: Episode 1 (Ryomen Sukuna)

Megumi is poised to become one of the most unique and engaging characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. His Ten Shadows power might be weak right now, but its sheer potential is limitless. It's going to take Megumi quite some time to master this technique, but there's no denying that watching him use the Ten Shadows technique at its maximum potential is going to be an absolute blast.

If Megumi manages to hone his ability to a T, there's no telling what this man will be capable of. However, he has been on the back foot in most of his battles, which does take away a bit from the power of his technique. Thankfully, the Shibuya Incident showed just how much potential this technique really has, with the toughest monster Megumi has ever summoned giving someone as powerful as Sukuna a run for his money.

17 Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue

Satoru Gojo

• Technique Debut: Episode 20 (Nonstandard)

Expect to see Gojo's name prop up a lot in this list. After all, he is the most powerful Jujutsu Sorcerer in the show for a reason. His Limitless ability gives him access to several powerful moves that can bolster his speed and offense.

Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue is one such move that allows Gojo to travel at breakneck speeds by bringing negative distance into reality. It can also obliterate any enemy who might be targeted by such a powerful move as well.

16 Dismantle

Ryomen Sukuna

• Technique Debut: Episode 4 (Fearsome Womb)

Ryomen Sukuna is easily one of the most interesting characters in the entire series. The fact that he used to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer makes him an even more engaging character.

His ability, Dismantle, lets him do exactly what is stated in the name. Lesser enemies will be felled instantly by this damaging move, while tougher opponents will be extremely inconvenienced.

15 Cursed Technique Reversal: Red

Satoru Gojo

• Technique Debut: Episode 7 (Assault)

Reversed Cursed Techniques are another type of Jujutsu ability that can cause widespread destruction if harnessed correctly. This is precisely what Gojo manages to achieve with his Reversed Limitless: Red technique.

The energy required to pull off this technique is massive but leads to spectacular destruction. The one-sided battle between Jogo and Gojo was proof enough of just how powerful this technique is.

14 Idle Transfiguration

Mahito

Mahito is one of the most fascinating antagonists in Jujutsu Kaisen. His psychotic personality makes him one of the most unpredictable characters in the show by a country mile.

The manner in which he can manipulate beings with a single touch makes him one of the most daunting enemies in the show. Every Jujutsu Sorcerer who gets into a battle with this foe needs to stay wary at all times, lest they turn into a squirming monster with no hope of surviving.

13 Star Rage

Yuki Tsukumo

• Technique Debut: Chapter 205 (Stars and Oil)

It's only a given that any character who's served as a mentor to Todo would be one of the most powerful characters in the series, and Yuki Tsukumo certainly doesn't disappoint in his regard. This character does a great job of endearing herself to fans with her magnetic personality, and any fan who is already enamored by her has yet to see a glimpse of her true strength in battle.

Star Rage is one of the more unique Cursed Techniques that she whips out in battle, letting her add virtual mass to both herself and her shikigami, Garuda. Not only does this let her bolster the power of her attacks, but the sheer level of mass she can add to her own body is so high that her own body can turn into a black hole as well.

12 Thin Ice Breaker

Takako Uro

• Technique Debut: Chapter 177 (Sendai Colony, Part 4)

Fans of the manga can't wait for the Culling Game arc to start, given that it's bound to feature some of the best battles in the series. The fights in this arc are truly astounding, with many powerful Jujutsu Sorcerers and Cursed Beings whipping out new and improved tricks that can decimate their opposition with ease.

One such technique is Thin Ice Breaker by Takako Uro, a legendary Jujutsu Sorcerer from her time who is reincarnated during this arc to wreak havoc. This technique uses her ability to control the sky and unleashes a powerful blow that can send people flying, even if it doesn't hit them directly.

11 Cursed Speech

Toge Inumaki

• Technique Debut: Episode 8 (Boring)

Inumaki is easily one of the most fascinating characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. The fact that he can only use a limited vocabulary to convey his points highlights the fact that his Cursed Technique is incredibly powerful — perhaps more than he can control himself.

His Cursed Speech allows Inumaki to control the actions of his enemies by shouting orders that are powered by his Cursed Energy. Such a powerful technique takes a huge toll on his body, with Inumaki being rendered unable to speak if he ends up overusing this technique.

10 Womb Profusion

Kenjaku

• Technique Debut: Chapter 205 (Stars and Oil)

Kenjaku is a heinous curse user who has remained alive for many years with an ability that lets him transplant his brain into others, rendering him immortal until the brain itself is taken out. Not only does this curse user take on the abilities of its possessed body, but Kenjaku can also use Domain Expansion to completely decimate his enemies if he wishes.

Womb Profusion, his Domain Expansion, is a disgusting technique to witness firsthand. He forms a pillar made entirely out of cursed spirits that can hit enemies for massive damage, essentially killing any unprepared foe who has no idea just how powerful this Domain Expansion technique really is. The fact that the true power of this technique hasn't been properly seen yet is a shame.

9 Reverse Cursed Technique

Yuta Okkotsu, Ryomen Sukuna, Shoko Ieiri, Satoru Gojo, Uraume, Yuji Itadori

Given the sheer amount of damage that Jujustu sorcerers must endure in a hard-fought battle, it's important for the most skilled and toughest sorcerers around to utilize the power of the Reverse Cursed Technique. It aids in self-healing and can mend mortal blows if carried out with immense effectiveness.

People up to date with the manga know that Yuji can use this technique too, which he revealed during his fateful battle against Sukuna. It's one of the many ways the series' protagonist has shown just how much power he harbors.

Yuta Okkotsu

• Technique Debut: Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is an amazing movie that is filled to the brim with some great animation along with a fun story that focuses on a special individual called Yuta Okkotsu, a man who believes that he's haunted by the spirit of his dead lover, only for it to be revealed that he was the person who ended up cursing Rika instead. This realization allows him to finally control his Cursed Energy and become one of the most powerful Jujutsu Sorcerers in the entire series.

This man has access to a wealth of abilities that are all pretty amazing in their own right, including the manifestation of Rika's Spirit that helps him out in battle. However, what really sets him apart from the rest of the characters on the show is his ability to Copy other Cursed Techniques allowing him to use techniques like Cursed Speech and Thin Ice Breaker.

7 Disaster Flames

Jogo

• Technique Debut: Episode 6 (After the Rain)

Given how much of a punching bag Jogo has become throughout the series, most people would just write him off as nothing more than a joke enemy. However, Jogo is extremely powerful and can use his abilities to decimate opponents if given the chance.

His technique, Disaster Flames, generates mini-volcano eruptions that are extremely hot and powerful. Only the most powerful Jujutsu Sorcerers around can handle this move without incurring substantial damage.

6 Comedian

Fumihiko Takaba

• Technique Debut: Episode 168 (Tokyo No. 1 Colony, Part 8)

It takes something really special for a relatively new Jujutsu sorcerer to showcase an ability so powerful that Gojo himself acknowledges just how dangerous this power is. Fumihiko is a character introduced during the Culling Game who has the power to turn his jokes into reality with his Comedian ability, which means that the sky's the limit for this powerful Cursed Technique.

The only respite that most of his opponents have is that Fumihiko himself is unaware of just how powerful this ability is. There are times when he can lose faith in his own jokes, which is understandable given his status as a failed comedian. Still, it's oddly unnerving to see a character who has so much power that they don't know how to control it, making it easy to see why fighting this sorcerer can be pretty challenging indeed.

5 Cleave

Ryomen Sukuna

• Technique Debut: Episode 4 (Fearsome Womb)

Sukuna's Dismantle technique has already been mentioned on this list. However, that attack is pretty universal and doesn't adapt itself to the strength and durability of the opponent.

This is where Cleave comes into the picture. At a glance, this technique looks similar to Dismantle, until viewers realize that this move actually takes into account the hardiness of an opponent and hits them hard enough to take down any foe in one fell swoop.
