Of course, as is the case with any anime series, there's bound to be a bunch of fans who will talk at length about the manga and why it's the best way to enjoy the overall experience. Jujutsu Kaisen is no exception to this golden rule, and some people are bound to bring up the manga in this conversation. While Gege Akutami is an excellent mangaka who deserves all the credit for his brilliant illustrations, there are several valid points that illustrate why the anime is the best way to enjoy the overall experience.

9 The Animation Is Simply Brilliant

It would be impossible to talk about the best aspects of Jujutsu Kaisen without mentioning the stellar animation. MAPPA has clearly gone above and beyond to ensure that the quality of this series is beyond compare.

Each and every scene is full to the brim with a level of energy that will keep fans hooked all the time. As a result, even the simplest moments end up being wildly entertaining due to the colorful animation.

8 The Fights Are Lengthier And More Satisfying

The fights of Jujutsu Kaisen are definitely one of its biggest highlights. Watching powerful Jujutsu Sorcerers taking on high-level Cursed Threats is a visual extravaganza for the ages.

What makes these fights even better in the anime is that the fights are even lengthier to show off MAPPA's amazing animation. It's a great decision on the studio's part and improves the overall viewing experience as well.

7 The Pulse-Pounding Soundtrack Is A Huge Positive

The fights of Jujutsu Kaisen are excellent enough as is, and that's mainly due to the animation. However, the visuals aren't the only reason why these fights are so incredible.

The music that plays during these fights is also quite excellent in its own right. They completely fit into the beautiful chaos of Jujutsu Kaisen's fight scenes and elevate these moments even more.

6 The Comedic Moments Have More Impact

It's not just the fight scenes of Jujutsu Kaisen that are notable in the anime. The humor present in this anime is also quite effective and would definitely elicit a laugh from even the most stoic viewer.

It helps that the animated medium allows Jujutsu Kaisen to exaggerate the hilarious movements of its characters. This allows for the comedic moments of the series to carry that extra punch.

5 The Juju Scrolls Are A Great Addition

One of the most hilarious parts of Jujutsu Kaisen is undoubtedly the Juju Scrolls that end each episode. These funny skits end up being great ways to lighten the mood with some jokes and also elaborate on certain characters without getting too serious.

What makes these skits even better is that Gege Akutami himself drew the storyboard for these Juju Scrolls. It's a great inclusion to an anime that is already riveting enough as is.

4 MAPPA Has Also Added Their Own Personal Touch To The Source Material

For the most part, MAPPA is extremely faithful when it comes to adapting the source material. However, they have made some small changes to the structure of the story, with the beginning of the show being a great example of how events were switched out to improve the show's pacing.

Of course, this isn't the only change they've made to the show. MAPPA's adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen also features some minor changes to character design, with Mahito's heterochromia being a new addition to the show that is absent from the manga.

3 The Side Characters And Their Perspectives Are Given Their Time In The Limelight

For the most part, the manga of Jujutsu Kaisen is pretty excellent and does manage to give the side characters the spotlight at times. However, it's during the major story beats that most readers don't get to see the thoughts and perspectives of other characters, with Yuji being the only one who gets the time to perceive and think.

Thankfully, the manga doesn't suffer from this issue. Both main and side characters get ample time to think out loud about the situation that's developing in front of them.

2 Character Relationships Are Given More Importance In The Anime

The manga doesn't get a lot of time to flesh out the relationships between characters. As a result, some of the more emotional moments in the manga feel more forced.

However, the anime doesn't suffer from these problems. Every character in the series interacts more with others courtesy of extra scenes and just more screen time for most characters.

1 The Death Of Yuji's Grandfather Is More Emotional And Impactful

Both the manga and the anime feature the death of Yuji's grandfather and how it sparks a change in the character. However, both mediums show Yuji dealing with this death in a different manner.

In the manga, Yuji doesn't really react too much to his grandfather's death and only keeps the last words in mind. However, the anime actually shows Yuji mourning his grandfather's death by crying his heart out. It's a small change but does wonders to humanize Yuji's character in the eyes of viewers.
