Each new part has both new protagonists and antagonists. The villains in JoJo are unique, and sometimes they are more eye-catching than the protagonists themselves. This often leads to the question— what if certain villains from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure were actually heroes? What's certain is that a handful of JoJo villains would have done much better if they were heroes.

7 Risotto Nero

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Risotto Nero using Metallica

Risotto Nero was the leader of the Hitman Team. Risotto and his group were originally a part of Diavolo's Passione, but they decided to rebel against him. Risotto and his group were after Trish and on many occasions, they clashed against Bucciarati's gang.

Risotto had a great personality, and he was an excellent fighter. Both Bruno and Risotto's groups had the same goal— to defeat Diavolo and end his hold on the organization. If Risotto had become an ally, taking down Diavolo would have been much easier. His Stand, Metallica, caused a lot of problems for Diavolo, and if Narancia hadn't attacked Risotto with the Aerosmith, Diavolo would have definitely died.

6 Enrico Pucci

Enrico Pucci in Stone Ocean Anime

Arguably one of the best villains in the entire series, Enrico Pucci was introduced in Stone Ocean. Enrico Pucci's thinking was heavily influenced by DIO. He wanted to change the world and to do that he needed a great deal of power, so he planned to evolve his Stand.

Pucci was successful in his attempt to develop his Stand and the final transformation of his Stand was, Made in Heaven. The Stand's power made Pucci almost a god and with his newfound power, Pucci began to create a new universe where the fate of people would be set in stone, and it would have been unchangeable.

5 Sandman

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Sandman and his stand, In A Silent Way

Sandman would have been a great fit as a lead for a JoJo part especially because of his backstory. Initially, Sandman joined the Steel Ball Run race to win back the land that belonged to his people. He had a proper motive, and he was different from all the other competitors. Unlike the rest of the jockeys, Sandman did not use a horse, instead, he relied on his legs.

Unfortunately, as the race continued, Sandman's screentime drastically decreased, and he did not have a meaningful appearance until he confronted Gyro and Johnny. Sandman put up a great fight against Johnny, but due to the latter's being too powerful Stand, Sandman was defeated.

4 Wamuu

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Wamuu using his ultimate technique against Joseph

Wamuu is the standout villain from Battle Tendency. He was revived along with Esidisi and Kars. As one of the Pillar Men, Wamuu was superior to humans when it came to strength. Wamuu's fighting abilities could cause trouble for even the best of fighters.

Despite his strength, Wamuu had a great deal of honor, and he respected a good fighter, which was evident when he fought against Joseph and Caesar. Due to his behavior, Wamuu became extremely popular among the fans, so if he was a hero, he would unquestionably be even more popular.

3 Jobin Higashikata

Jobin Higashikata from Part 8

Jobin Higashikata is the eldest son of the Higashikata Family. Being the eldest son, Jobin was extremely protective of the family. He was willing to go to any lengths to save his family from any possible danger.

Jobin began to harvest the Locacaca fruit to save his son, Tsurugi from dying. The Locacaca fruit attracted the attention of a lot of other people, and they tried to attack Jobin and his family, but he wasn't willing to give the fruit up. If Jobin had decided to help Josuke, then it is very likely that Jobin could have survived and there wouldn't have been any need to kill his own father.

2 Vanilla Ice

Vanilla Ice inside his stand

Vanilla Ice was the most loyal follower of DIO, and he was ready to kill himself to prove his loyalty. Even a cold-hearted individual like DIO admired Vanilla Ice's dedication. When Vanilla Ice killed himself on DIO's command, the latter revived him using his blood. This led to Vanilla Ice becoming a vampire.

Vanilla Ice's Stand was powerful as well, and a loyal person like him would have made a great addition to any group. Overall, Vanilla Ice's character was interesting, and the fans would have loved him as a hero.

1 Donatello Versus

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Versus in JoJo Part 6

Donatello Versus is one of the three sons of DIO, who were introduced in Stone Ocean. The best thing about Versus was that he had his sense of individuality, which a lot of villains lack. When Versus failed to beat Jolyne and Ermes, he betrayed Pucci and stole Weather Report's Stand disc.

This decision showed that Versus was not fine with just being Pucci's underling. In addition to his persona, Versus' Stand Under World was an extremely useful Stand. The Stand allowed Versus to dig up information from a certain place. A Stand like Under World would have definitely proven to be a great help if Versus was one of the good guys.
