Lionsgate has just released the final John Wick 4 trailer. Keanu Reeves leads a cast that includes returning veterans Laurence Fishburne and Ian McShane alongside newcomers Bill Skarsgard, Donnie Yen, and Rina Sawayama.

The action-packed original film premiered in 2014, starring Reeves as John Wick, a former assassin seeking to leave his life of murder behind, only to be dragged back into the seedier undercurrent of organized crime when his dog, a gift from his dying wife, is killed. What followed was two more sequels, John Wick 2 and John Wick 3: Parabellum, which followed Wick in pursuit of and pursued by the High Table, an outfit of assassins, as he struggles to break free of their hold, hoping for a peaceful life.

In the newest John Wick: Chapter 4 trailer, audiences get another glimpse of Reeves in his iconic role, the good guy with dead-pan humor who is pulled into doing bad things to bad people. The John Wick 4 trailer is a global world tour showing scenes in Paris, Japan, and the Arabian desert. Reeves eludes and punishes the remaining High Tower assassins in the franchise's usual blend of gunfire, pyrotechnics, car chases, and excellent fight sequences set to Nas' “Got Yourself a Gun.”

Fans also get another look at Bill Skarsgard as the Marquis de Gramont, with the actor gaining more and more fame for his villainous roles after portraying Pennywise in Stephen King's IT and landing the title role in Robert Eggers' upcoming Nosferatu. The John Wick franchise is known for its antagonists to Reeves' anti-hero role, and Chapter 4 will likely bring other foes (and friends turned foes). John Wick 4 is also the longest film in the franchise, topping out at 2 hours and 49 minutes of non-stop action that has made the franchise a regular fan-favorite.

Chad Stahelski, who directed the first three John Wick films and this new installment, has said that Chapter 4 will delve further into the history of the Continental Hotel, a renowned gathering place for assassins in the previous films. The hotel will also be the subject of a forthcoming prequel series slated for Peacock, Continental, which will explore the hotel’s history further. Another John Wick spin-off, Ana de Armas' Ballerina, is also in production.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 24, 2023.
