It appears that John Krasinski is hard at work on what is one of many new projects that have nothing to do with A Quiet Place and are set to come in the next few years. This time around, it appears he won't be dealing with aliens that have super-hearing as in Paramount's A Quiet Place 2.

For the last few years now, Krasinski has worn many hats. More frequently, his work has had him mostly behind the camera, even if he still makes cameos in some of his films like his brief appearance in the A Quiet Place films. One of those projects where he will be behind the camera or working in production is set to hit theaters a few years from now. When it does finally hit the big screen, Krasinski apparently takes a giant step away from the science fiction genre and will instead be putting together a fantasy comedy film for Paramount.

It turns out that Krasinski isn't the only big name attached to the upcoming project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film just signed on a couple of well-known actors. Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Fiona Shaw reportedly both recently inked deals to come on board. Krasinski is writing and directing what is being billed as a rather high-profile title in addition to starring opposite Ryan Reynolds, who had already been announced as being in the movie. The project is set to begin shooting in the summer of 2022 and then will be released in November of 2023.

While the plot details for the film are being kept under wraps for now, it's said the story is based on an original idea of Krasinski's about a child’s journey to rediscover their imagination. While Waller-Bridge's part isn't yet known, the Indiana Jones 5 actor is joining what is quite the high-profile cast for whatever the role mind end up being. Likewise, there hasn't been any light shed on just what kind of character Fiona Shaw is going to be taking on. For that matter, it's not clear who either Krasinski or Reynolds are going to be portraying.

Assuming both Indiana Jones 5 and this fantasy comedy do arrive when they are supposed to, Waller-Bridge will have two projects coming out in 2023. Shaw's next project won't be on the big screen but will be streaming through the Disney Plus platform. She'll have a part to play in Andor, a Star Wars prequel series that is due out in 2022. In that vein, A Quiet Place Part 3 is also due out in 2023, though it's not entirely clear just how much of a role Krasinski will have in the third installment of the alien invasion franchise.

Krasinski's untitled fantasy comedy is currently in pre-production at Paramount.
