JETT: The Far Shore is being delayed. After initially being revealed with a unique and mysterious trailer, JETT: The Far Shore's developer Superbrothers has revealed that the game needs a bit more time in the oven.

JETT: The Far Shore is an exploration adventure title developed by the same team behind Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP. The game caught many by surprise when it was initially shown off earlier this year. The title was initially set to launch this year, but Superbrothers has informed fans that it will now launch in 2021.

Superbrothers' is hoping that JETT will be an inspirational and groundbreaking type game. The developer is attempting to give players the same type of feeling that they may have had with mid-'90s games and the idea of transitioning to 3D exploration. For the game to be able to match the potential that the developer believes it has, it simply needs more time. The major factor for the delay seems to be COVID-19, as countless games have been pushed back due to the pandemic and the indie developer notes that "hectic times" are the reason for the setback.

JETT has gone from this tiny little secret thing, to this full blown international conspiracy, and now to this very for-real project that theoretically millions of people have sorta heard of. What a ride.

What was supposed to be a PS5 launch title, the enigmatic JETT: The Far Shore will now launch sometime in 2021. It is exciting to see a game for the first time and have it be released only a few months later, which was going to be the case with JETT. Hopefully, the additional time in development will help it improve.

JETT: The Far Shore is scheduled to release in 2021 for PS4 and PS5.
