Jason Momoa showed behind-the-scenes footage of his extensive fight scene rehearsal for his character Duncan Idaho in Denis Villeneuve's Dune. The film is based on a novel of the same name and features a star-studded cast.

Momoa's Duncan Idaho is a skilled warrior and protector. The behind-the-scenes Dune video shows long hours of repeating the same moves until the actors have the muscle memory down in preparation for when it's time to film. The fight training for Dune is extensive, tiring, dangerous, and realistic in order to make for a combat scene that viewers can enjoy.

The video also features cool background commentary from the actor himself regarding his role, as well as how he got his mindset into Dune. Momoa has been enjoying his time on camera in the role so far, and he even referenced his other character in the Apple TV Plus series See. Dune is coming out this October with a star-studded cast that includes Dave Bautista, Josh Brolin, and Zendaya, to name a few. The film will be based on the novel and attempt to tell the story of the book in two separate installments. The film has received mixed reactions from those who've seen it, but Brolin recently praised Dune as a masterpiece.

Dune, for those who don't know, is a science fiction film that takes place in the future on the planet Arrakis. This planet has the only source of a material called melange, a drug that can do numerous things such as extend life, give super enhancements, and enables faster space travel.

Dune will follow a battle between the native population of Arrakis and those who want to take advantage of the planet for its Melange. Many fans aren't sure what to expect other than the star power that this film offers. Filmmakers were turned off from making a Dune film based on how difficult and vast the storytelling was, that is until Villeneuve took the role of director.

Dune will be in theaters and on HBO Max on October 22nd, 2021.
