The quarantines imposed to combat the coronavirus have left a lot of people pretty bored. In an attempt to alleviate this boredom, James Gunn has decided to engage fans of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies by hosting QA sessions on his social media platforms.

During the most recent session on Gunn's Instagram, one misinformed fan took the opportunity to ask whether or not the masses could expect a Guardians Vol 4 since Gunn "said" that he wasn't going to do a Vol 2 — let alone the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.

In no uncertain terms, Gunn responded that he had no plans to do a Vol 4. And he even managed to give a reason while correcting the fan about their misinformation on Vol 2. According to James Gunn, he wrote the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie with a trilogy in mind if the film did well. It did, and so Gunn continued the series with the idea that Vol 3 would act as the conclusion to the overarching story.

With that in mind, Gunn went on to say that if he did do a Vol 4, it would be with a team other than Peter's, since their story — as told by Gunn — would officially end with Vol 3.
