As revealed during Microsoft's Inside Xbox presentation earlier today, a number of big name original Xbox games are coming to the Xbox One. On April 17, eight titles will be added to the backward compatibility program, including the likes of The Elder Scrolls 3: MorrowindJade EmpireConker: Live & Reloaded, and more.

Until Microsoft's Inside Xbox presentation, it was believed that these original Xbox games would be coming to the Xbox One later today instead of April 17. This is because the Xbox Store listed the games for an April 10 release date, which led to some confusion. So while some fans may be disappointed that they won't be able to play Morrowind on their Xbox One today as previously anticipated, at least they won't have to wait too much longer to play the game on a modern console.

While The Elder Scrolls 3: MorrowindJade Empire, and Conker: Live & Reloaded are arguably three of the biggest titles coming to the backward compatibility program on April 17, they're not the only ones. Some fans may be disappointed that The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind won't be playable on Xbox One until next week, but it's better than not having access to the game at all. Plus, those who already own the game digitally or who have the disc still lying around will be able to play the game come April 17 on their Xbox One for no additional charge.

Meanwhile, some lesser-known, but well-regarded original Xbox games are also being added to the backward compatibility list on April 17. Hunter: The Reckoning is a local co-op, hack-and-slash action RPG that received decent reviews when it originally launched back in 2002, and Breakdown is an FPS that, while receiving mixed reviews, did earn a great deal of praise for its story.

All eight of these original Xbox games will be available to play on Xbox One beginning April 17.
