Several years ago, an era on YouTube began which saw the rise of a band of notable content creators who would become huge stars in their own right. The likes of Markiplier, PewDiePie, the Game Grumps, and Jacksepticeye have enjoyed highly successful Let's Play careers which have earned them online fame and a large following. Along with the others, Jacksepticeye has had a positive impact on the community with his charity work, but despite his popularity, he decided to take a quick break from his channel recently. However, he is planning to make a comeback.

In a recent report, it was revealed that Jacksepticeye, whose real name is Sean McLoughlin, went on a sudden hiatus from YouTube, with the intention of having a break for about a month or so. In an interview with Polygon, he said that he may wait a "little longer" before coming back, adding that he said if he came back now, or soon, he wouldn't even know what to play on his channel. However, he is planning on coming back eventually. His last video was uploaded to his channel a week ago.

While the hiatus has been a bit of a surprise for his fans, it's perhaps better than the alternative. Earlier this year, Jacksepticeye said he had been considering quitting YouTube all-together. While it's uncertain exactly when he will come back to YouTube, many will understand that, given his outspoken nature on the importance of good mental health, a break is the healthy option right now. He also said that he wants to be a "bit more creative" and make content that will be more of a "challenge" him more. It remains to be seen what that will entail.

Jack is also not the first big YouTuber to take a brief pause from the site. Just a couple of months ago, the controversial star, and close friend of Sean's, PewDiePie also said he was taking a break from YouTube for a short period, as did his editor Sive. However, PewDiePie's break was less to do with burnout, which seems to be the case with Jack, and more to do with him waiting for the latest Minecraft update to be released.

Jackseptieye is also close friends with long-time content creator Markiplier, who at one point was considered one of the most influential gamers. Jack, Mark, and PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix, have been on YouTube for many years, amassing a lot of fans and notoriety. Given how much effort is put into each video, it's understandable that the big stars of YouTube need to go on hiatus every once in a while. Many of Jack's fans will no doubt be supportive of his decision, and will still be there when he gets back.
