2021 just got a little brighter. The first trailer for Jackass Forever has been released, and it shows the boys up to their old antics, even if they do look a little greyer. Last week, Paramount Pictures revealed the official title for the new film, along with the first images and the promise of a trailer. Now the new trailer is here and it features many of the original cast members, along with some new faces, as they perform death-defying stunts.

The Jackass Forever trailer opens on a nostalgic note and features black and white footage of classic clips from the previous three Jackass films while sentimental music played over top. Then, we shift gears and cut to a grey-haired Johnny Knoxville as he delivers his signature line, "Hello, I'm Johnny Knoxville, welcome to Jackass!" before being fired out of a cannon while wearing a homemade angel costume, hilariously equipped with useless feathered wings. We then get original cast member Chris Pontius, who posits the question, "What will Jackass be like when we get older?" To which he replies, "Well it will be more mature," as a cast member rides a bicycle into a fake backdrop, much to the other member's pleasure. The rest of the Jackass Forever trailer features all the classic Jackass stunts, including ones featuring dangerous animals, crotch shots, and giant paper mache hands that will slap you out of your seat.

We also get some sage advice from veteran cast member Steve-O, who tells us, "Concussions aren't great, but as long as you have them before you're 50, it's cool." He then tells us that since Knoxville is 49, "we're good," before Knoxville is tossed into the air by an angry bull. The Jackass Forever trailer also features several cameos, including one from comedian Eric Andre, who recently released his own stunt/prank movie Bad Trip, starring himself, Lil Rel Howery, and Tiffany Haddish. Andre pretty much owes his entire style of comedy to Jackass, so it's fitting that he would get the opportunity to pay tribute to the boys in the new movie.

It's been 10-years since the last Jackass movie, Jackass 3D, was released in theatres. In the years, since many of the original members have been off doing their own projects and living their separate lives. Knoxville spent some time acting in movies, including a Jackass spin-off movie called Dirty Grampa, which featured the foul elderly character invented by Knoxville who is also featured in the new Jackass Forever trailer. Steve-O has remained active, using his YouTube channel to promote his own Mission: Impossible type of crazy stunts and briefly dabbling in stand-up comedy. Some of the other original members have also settled down and had families, including Pontius and Knoxville.

Sadly, not everyone from the original cast has fared well over the years. Original cast member Ryan Dunn was tragically killed in a car accident in 2011. Also notably missing from the Jackass Forever trailer is original cast member Bam Margera, who was reportedly fired from the production for breaching his contract. This led to Margera even calling for a boycott of the movie through videos posted to social media, which have since been taken down. In the years since Jackass, Margera has struggled with substance abuse and was hit especially hard by Dunn's sudden death.

After a miserable 2020, and a seemingly endless 2021, audiences are in desperate need of a laugh. Thankfully, more and more people are getting vaccinated every day, and movie theatres across the country are reopening just in time for the fourth and final Jackass film. The film also features the return of original cast members Jason "Wee Man" Acuna, Preston Lacy, Dave England, Ehren "Danger Ehren" McGhehey, as well as several new members including Sean "Poopies" McInerney.

Jackass Forever will open in theatres on October 22nd, 2021.
