As players progress through It Takes Two's campaign, they will find that there is no shortage of unique and entertaining easter eggs to discover. While It Takes Two is certainly a tonal departure from Hazelight Studio's previous title A Way Out, fans of their previous entry can rest easy, as Leo and Vincent make their own unique appearance in the game.

After narrowly escaping the militant squirrels that inhabit the Treehouse, players will eventually make their way to Rose's bedroom. Once players are given control of Cody and May, they will start the pillow fort chapter and must navigate a dizzying array of platforming puzzles in order to reach their daughter.

Players will eventually reach a large open area that contains the "Tank Busters" minigame in the center. From this location, follow the power cords through the fort which will eventually lead to a narrow corridor made of pillows. On the right-hand side of the corridor, players must climb a series of pillows before jumping across a gap to reach the opposite side.

Once on the opposite side, players must then jump one more small gap in order to reach a hidden entrance to a secret room. Inside the room, players will find action figures of both Vincent and Leo from A Way Out, which Cody describes as his "favorite video game." To activate the figures, Cody and May must jump and pound the button in front of each figure simultaneously.

-MINOR SPOILER WARNING-

After activating the figures, Leo will begin to threaten Vincent which is in reference to his betrayal of Leo by revealing he was an undercover officer at the ending of A Way Out. After coming to the realization that they are now only dolls, Leo will begin to struggle, unsuccessfully trying to pull his feet from the platform. After Leo and Vicent's dialogue concludes, players will unlock the "Plastic Prison Breakers" achievement/trophy.

Creative director Josef Fares' decision to omit collectibles in lieu of unique interactable objects and easter eggs is a welcome change in today's gaming landscape. With a seemingly endless array of optional objects and minigames to interact with, players will likely be discovering hidden features in It Takes Two in the weeks to come. While the events of the finale of A Way Out make it extremely unlikely to expect a sequel anytime in the near future, it is refreshing to hear Vicent and Leo's expletive-ridden banter one more time.

It Takes Two is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
