Have you ever wanted to explore Saruman's infamous tower, made famous in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings movies? Well, soon you will be able to. The Rise of  Isengard will be the next expansion coming to Lord of the Rings Online, opening up the region of Isengard as well as raising the level cap up to level 70 and giving players new traits, virtues, skills and quests. Having recently gone free-to-play, LotRO will be banking on compelling new content and abilities to sell this upcoming expansion.

Competing in a space dominated by Wold of Warcraft, LotRO has had an amazing year. With record growth for the company, and continued updates and added content, there are more reasons then ever to start your journey through Middle Earth. There is something very epic about journeying to Mordor and immersing yourself in Tolkien’s detailed and imaginative world. The Rise of Isengard is sure to make fans of the franchise even more excited then before, with Saruman looking to stop you at all costs. Check out their teaser Trailer:


Don’t think that you will be the only one becoming more epic in this expansion. The monsters will also be getting beefed up, as well as the whole Monster Play skills and advancement. Like most MMO expansions, we will get more secrets unlocked and details as we get closer to a release date.

With all this new content, and the fact that it is free to play, there is no reason why you should not be trying out at least for a little bit. Even if you're not a fan of Middle Earth, but are just a fan of MMO’s in general, you should try this experience out for yourself. Based on a solid engine, a with breathtaking graphics , and free, it really is something everyone should enjoy.
