Players that want to step into the shoes of the Marvel superhero Iron Man will get to do exactly that with the release of Iron Man VR next year. Indeed, this PlayStation 4 VR exclusive title looks to give players a chance to suit up as the much beloved hero, as can be seen in a new Iron Man VR trailer, and the game will be available on February 28, 2020. Furthermore, players that pre-order Iron Man VR will receive several bonuses, and there is also a Digital Deluxe Edition that comes with even more additional content.
With respect to the Iron Man VR pre-order bonuses, two have been revealed: four custom Armor Decos and an Iron Man VR Dynamic PS4 theme. The four custom Iron Man VR Armor Decos are listed as the Origin Armor, Vintage Armor, Silver Centurion Armor, and Ultraviolet Armor, and they can be seen below. These Iron Man VR pre-order bonuses are available through all retailers, but those that chose to pre-purchase the game through the PlayStation Store will additionally receive a free month trial to Marvel Unlimited.
When it comes to the Iron Man VR Digital Deluxe Edition, it offers several bonuses beyond what comes with the game's Standard Edition. To begin, it includes four Deluxe Edition Armor Decos: the Golden Avenger, Black Centurion, Sun Stinger, and Stealth Armor. Additionally, the Iron Man VR Digital Deluxe Edition grants players 12 Research Points, which will allow them to "unlock some weapons and augments early" when they start experiencing Iron Man VR gameplay firsthand.
The Iron Man VR Digital Deluxe Edition is rounded out with a Digital Deluxe Soundtrack and a Digital Deluxe Edition Iron Man PS4 Theme. This all comes at a cost of $49.99, which is only $10 more than the Iron Man VR Standard Edition. That said, while the Standard Edition will be available both physically and digitally, the Iron Man VR Digital Deluxe Edition only comes digitally.
To note, the release date for Marvel's Avengers, a highly anticipated game being published by Square Enix, is scheduled for just a few months after the launch of Iron Man VR. As such, 2020 is already shaping up to be standout year for fans of all things Marvel.
