Camouflaj, the developer of Marvel's Iron Man VR, has just announced that the game has gone gold. Earlier this year, it was put on an indefinite delay alongside Naughty Dog's The Last of Us 2 due to coronavirus concerns, but now the game has a release date of July 3rd.

For those unfamiliar with the term, when a game like Marvel's Iron Man VR has "gone gold" it means that it is completely finished and is ready to be prepped for physical and digital release. At this point, the developer's work is done, and it is now in the hands of the publishers and distributors to get the game to players.

Camouflaj shared a celebratory tweet about the event, citing years of hard work and dedication as the only way the game was able to go gold despite issues caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The development company has even gone so far as to say that the work from home schedule has accommodated its current goals well.

The release comes sooner than anticipated for most, and the chance to experience Iron Man's world in glorious virtual reality is closer than ever before. Fans need simply wait till the third of July now.

Marvel's Iron Man VR releases on July 3rd exclusively for PSVR.
