As the number of available MCU movies and series to pull from dwindles, Marvel's Avengers continues to pepper its Marketplace and Shipment containers with associable outfit skins. Based upon the game's insistence on MCU-inspired cosmetics, Marvel's Avengers' potential future characters will likely be ones established in the MCU so that this trend can persist.

On April 1, which was maybe a poor date choice, Marvel's Avengers offered its MCU Iron Man skin to players for free in the Marketplace. Unsure if this was a cruel joke or not, players were still upset about the fact that an otherwise paywalled cosmetic was now offered for free since it did not seem fair to those who had already purchased it. Now, Marvel's Avengers has quickly announced its latest MCU skin for Iron Man, and it is one that MCU fans have asked for constantly.

An Iron Man skin inspired by Tony Stark's armor in Avengers: Infinity War is set to join Marvel's Avengers' current cosmetic catalog. Indeed, the Avengers: Infinity War skin will now be available for purchase besides skins from the MCU's Avengers: Endgame and Iron Man 2. Meanwhile, Iron Man's skin is currently free, and Iron Man 3's skin was previously earnable in Marvel's Avengers' Shipments. Iron Man has been particularly favored in terms of characters that have already received a bunch of MCU skins, but fans are probably pleased to see the Mark L armor at last.

Iron Man's Mark L, or Mark 50, armor in Avengers: Infinity War is a much more technologically advanced suit than the ones that fans were previously familiar with. Mark L is created with nanotechnology that flows across Tony's body and can malleably transform different parts of itself into weapons, such as a broad wrist blade or a shield. This will not be a possible function of the suit when it arrives in Marvel's Avengers Marketplace tomorrow, but it still features a sleek, technological design that has become popular with fans of the MCU.

Further, Iron Man bravely stands toe-to-toe with Thanos himself in this armor and even manages to nick him. But as advanced as it is, the Mark L armor is still an inferior match for Thanos alone and is torn apart piece-by-piece. This armor is not to be confused with Avengers: Endgame's Iron Man armor also included in Marvel's Avengers, which features a duller gold luster that is more prominent on its arms and legs.

MCU cosmetics are ultimately a welcome addition to Marvel's Avengers as long as their importance does not supersede that of the game's necessary updates and bug fixes. If a new roadmap is still planned for an announcement this year, Marvel's Avengers must demonstrate that new, substantial content is its priority rather than monetized outfits.

Marvel’s Avengers is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
