Xbox reveals what fans can expect from the Inside Xbox event taking place on May 7. The event will offers fans some Xbox Series X gameplay, however, it will also offer much more information about the console than that.

In a post on the Xbox Wire, Jerret West, who is the chief marketing officer at Xbox, said that there will be Xbox Series X gameplay, trailers, and sneak peeks from "a wide variety of publishing partners and independent developers across the globe and industry." One game set to be part of the event is Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which was announced just last week. Ubisoft is also expected to share more information about Watch Dogs Legion, though this has not been officially confirmed.

West also says that there will be announcements about the Xbox Series X Smart Delivery feature. This console feature allows players to buy a cross-generation game on Xbox One and get a copy of it on Xbox Series X. It could be hugely important as Xbox tries to get Xbox One players to upgrade to an Xbox Series X.

Just a few games have been confirmed for Xbox Series X Smart Delivery. CD Projekt RED has said that Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on Xbox Series X and will use Smart Delivery and a product listing confirmed that Assassin's Creed Valhalla will also use the feature. Ubisoft may be planning to bring all of its in-development titles to Xbox Series X using the feature, though more details its plans will be revealed during the May 7 Inside Xbox stream.

Fans can also expect to hear about something called Xbox Series X Optimized. All of the games featured in the May 7 event will be Xbox Series X Optimized, says West, and these titles have been developed to really use the Xbox Series X specs. The console's support for 4K resolutions and faster load times are just two of the specs that fans will get out of these games.

What fans won't see though are games from Xbox Game Studios developers like Obsidian Entertainment and The Initiative. Xbox is planning several other events as part of its Xbox 20/20 plan and so fans will have to wait to hear more about these titles. It seems like the Inside Xbox event will offer plenty of new information about the console and its games without this though, giving fans much more to be excited about.
