In Inscryption, players will have to take on a variety of different kinds of card battles against a variety of opponents. In Part 1 of this indie game, each of the Scribes and their minions will battle the Challenger, each with a different kind of deck. But in order to battle Grimora, players will first have to solve a puzzle.

Grimora the Scribe in Part 2

Grimora and Leshy are the first two bosses that players can take on in Part 2. Regardless of which deck the player chooses in the beginning, both P03 and Magnificus are blocked due to some bridge maintenance in the world, and players will have to defeat one of the two other Scribes first in order to get to the other side of the map. In order to get to Grimora, however, players first have to battle and defeat her three undead minions at cards.

The game is a little different in Part 2 than it was in Part 1. Players can reshape their decks with significantly more cards than Inscryption's act 1, more like a real like TCG than Leshy's sacrificial card game. Losing a match no longer equals dying. That being said, players will have to know the mechanics from Part 1 in order to be successful in Part 2.

How to Get to Grimora in Inscryption Part 2

In this part of Inscryption's horror deck-building meta game, Grimora hides behind a row of three gravestones, and each is a marker for the three undead ghouls on the screen with her. The first ghost, who is located to the left of this screen in front of the well, is Kaycee. Taking on this ghoul will give players Kaycee's headstone. There are also pieces of headstones south of Kaycee on the floor, in front of the door, down the stairs past Sawyer, in the coffin past Royal, and in the room to the north of Royal. All locations of the tombstone pieces are marked on this map:

Play all three minions in cards, and once defeated, they will each give the player a new pack to add to their decks. A great beginner tip for Inscryption's part 2 is to redo decks each time a new pack is opened. Once all three minions have been defeated and the tombstone pieces picked up, players should have several new cards to add to their decks as well as nine gravestone pieces. Using the knowledge from each of the ghosts, players should be able to put together the causes of death with the three dead characters. Kaycee, who says she is inside the tombstone to the left, is always cold. She was hit by falling ice. If players check her birth and death years, she was the only one alive after defibrillators were invented, therefore, she is the only character that could have died from a broken one.

In this creepy card game, Royal is the right tomb, and he is always talking about limes, lemons, and other fruit. As he talks like a pirate, players can assume he died of scurvy. There was no cure for what ailed him.

Sawyer makes a lot of dog references when he speaks, making sure that the player knows he is deathly afraid of them. He was mauled to death by a dog, but he makes sure players know he doesn't hold a grudge.

Once the last gravestone piece is placed, the stones will move, giving players the opportunity to take on one of Part 2's Inscryption Bosses, Grimora.
