Injustice Gods Among Us Lobo

Injustice: Gods Among Us has been on store shelves for less than 24 hours, and already speculation abounds regarding additional DLC characters. While developer NetherRealm Studios has packed the Injustice roster with a venerable cornucopia of DC Comics heroes and villains, there are still plenty of iconic or fan-favorite characters that did not make the cut.

However, thanks to the magic of DLC, and for a few extra dollars, players will eventually be able to bolster their base level Injustice rosters with a few extra characters. The question is: which character will NetherRealm roll out first?

Allegedly, the first character up on the DLC docket is none other than Lobo, the interstellar bounty hunter. Lobo's involvement was reportedly confirmed by an image on NeoGAF, which depicts Injustice: Gods Among Us' version of the character in front of the game's logo.

Even though there is no word from NetherRealm, it's not too surprising that they would choose Lobo as a DLC character. Ever since the Injustice: Gods Among Us roster was solidified, fans have been crying foul of Lobo's exclusion. To be fair, there were plenty of other characters that did not make the list, but Lobo seemed to come up the most frequently in the comments.

Unfortunately, the Lobo image arrives with no additional information, and no solid confirmation from NetherRealm Studios. Yesterday, the developer was planning to unveil the victor in their epic showdown between Batman and Superman, but after the tragic events earlier in the day the event was postponed.

In addition to the live stream, NetherRealm was to unveil a new DLC character. So, for all intents and purposes, it's safe to say Lobo was to be that character. We'll keep you posted if/when NetherRealm confirms Lobo.

In other cosmetic DLC news, pictures of three new costumes for Tomb Raider have leaked online. It should be mentioned, though, that Lara Croft's new duds likely won't do anything more than add a change of scenery to the iconic adventurer, as seen in the images below.

There's no word from Square Enix as to when these new DLC costumes might be made available, or how much they will cost (if they won't be free). Although game sales weren't quite up to Square Enix's projections, the Tomb Raider still ranks very high on our list of this year's best games. We recommend checking it out with or without the allure of new costumes.

Are you happy to hear Lobo is likely headed to the Injustice: Gods Among Us roster? What other characters would you like to see NetherRealm include?

Injustice: Gods Among Us is available today for the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.
