With Injustice 2's Wonder Woman event currently underway and set to end tomorrow on June 5, 2017, it looks as if NetherRealm Studios is now set to team up with DC Entertainment to help promote the film based on the Amazonian superhero even more so by advertising a deal that doles out Source Crystals to those who pre-order the movie. As it happens, the offer seems to only be available through the PlayStation Store, as those who reserve their copies of Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot, will receive a code for 11,000 Source Crystals usable in the PS4 version of the fighting game.

According to the listing on the PlayStation Store, not only will Injustice 2 fans get the bounty of Source Crystals for pre-ordering Wonder Woman, but also they will be given a theme for their PlayStation 4, which will presumably be inspired by the film. Those who lay down their money in advance for the movie's digital iteration won't get the items immediately, however, as the voucher code for both the Source Crystals and PS4 theme will be sent during the course of 7 to 10 business days after purchase.

As many are likely aware, Wonder Woman is still showing on the big screen, so it seems as if this offer is primarily driven toward those Injustice 2 fans who have already checked out the flick and ultimately enjoyed it. Of course, with modern technology allowing many to have what equates to a private, personalized theater in their own living rooms, the deal is likely also targeted at those who skip out on cinematic releases in favor of watching movies from the comfort of their own homes.

All things considered, with such synergistic business practices roping NetherRealm Studios' Injustice 2 into the marketing of Wonder Woman and its digital release, it stands to reason that the developer will make similar offers in the future when Justice League hits theaters later this fall. Not to mention, there will surely even be some new and exclusive skins for the likes of Aquaman, Batman, Cyborg, the Flash, and Wonder Woman representing their cinematic counterparts on the way.

Injustice 2 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
