Upon its launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, NetherRealm Studios' DC Comics-inspired fighting game Injustice 2 debuted at the top of the charts as the best-selling game for the month of May 2017, and the title then went on to take the number one slot for the second month in a row. While most fans anticipated that the release would be one of the year's biggest hits when it came out, many expressed the notion that its reign as the king of the hill on the software sales charts could have been much longer if it dropped for PC as well.

Interestingly enough, while Injustice 2 is currently only available for the two aforementioned current generation consoles, a couple of new retail listings suggest that the fighting game will be coming to PC. As seen in the image below, the Dutch retailer known as GameMania has posted that not only will the title be coming to personal computers, but also that it should release for the platform sometime later this year.

As it so happens, GameMania isn't the only retailer that shows Injustice 2 as having an eventual PC port, with Amazon France having posted that a Deluxe Edition of the title will come to the platform. Since the fighting game has just recently gotten around to putting out the second Fighter Pack – with its three characters of Hellboy, Raiden, and Black Manta laying the groundwork for nine DLC fighters in all – it's possible that the PC version won't actually launch until the third and final Fighter Pack has been fully released in order to fulfill one's expectations of a Deluxe Edition.

Of course, since NetherRealm Studios, Warner Bros. Interactive, and DC Entertainment have not stepped forward to confirm this as an actuality, there's really no telling whether or not the listings are accurate at this point. So, it's important to take all of the information regarding Injustice 2's possible PC version with a grain of salt.

All things considered, if Injustice 2 eventually comes to PC, it would likely become a major sales success, even if it encounters a similarly messy launch in the vein of Mortal Kombat X on the platform, as the latter release went on help boost overall sales of the title to make it the fastest selling game in the series. Not to mention, if a PC version does come to fruition, those who exclusively game on computers would surely be glad to know that they have the opportunity to play one of the most critically acclaimed titles of 2017.
